What an amazing work! Thank you for writing such a beautifully executed piece of background development for this pair. I truly enjoyed their exploits and the way you fleshed out their relationship. It looks like the work on this fan fiction has stalled, and it does work where you stopped, but It would be great to see what you have for the final chapter. Kudos!

Fantastic chapter! I love the ways you're quietly re-arranging game events, and I really enjoyed seeing Shepard and Kaidan's perspectives and interactions here. I'm glad they've rebuilt a good working relationship.

The emotional stakes are so high here, with Garrus getting hurt, and Shepard's resentment of Cerberus, and Shepard's overall level of strain and fatigue. It puts me right back into what it felt like to play the game. I'm excited to see what you do with the endgame.

I'm also amazed and delighted at how steadily you've kept updating this fic after all these years, making it one of my all-time favorites.

I CANT REMEMBER IF IVE LEFT A REVIEW ON THIS BEFORE. This is HANDS DOWN my favorite Shakarian fic. EVER. i have read this more times than any of the other 200 something fics i have bookmarked. the development is PHENOMENAL. a very subtle shift from friends to more to moreMORE to something to lovers. you put the slow in slow burn and i love it! i am not jokin my dude. i would print this fic out and take it on a nice date if i could!

In the game, when Shep and Kenson land on the research base, the timer is at days. Here, Garrus reacts hours after that. So how come Shep wakes up so early and they still only have hours left?

It never made any sense that Shepard would take everyone on the team from the ship, and I always wondered how it would've gone if some real fighters were on board when the Collectors hit it.

This is extremely sweet without being overwhelingly so. I may have just become a fluff fanatic.
