All I can say is I'm so happy I read this! I've come late to this fandom and I'm now playing catch-up, hours of catch-up. This story is right at the top of my list of absolute favorites. I felt as if I was in the chopper and sitting next to each character. I think I stopped breathing when Steve did; I felt his terror and Danny's. It was so beautifully written that I wasn't a voyeur, I was a participant.

I never know if the authors see my reviews because I come so late to the party, but I hope you get this. THANK YOU for the pleasure and privilege of reading this.

I favorited you as an author after reading this story, not because this is the first story of yours that I've read or even because I'm a big H50 fan. I actually like SPN much more. But I favorited you because I've been reading through all your stories, and this is the third fandom I've read from you and all three have been deep in a way that most fanfiction isn't.

It's not, I think, that you have such a good grasp of the shows or how to use big words and fancy phrases. It's more that you understand relationships. Even your profile testifies to that fact, in the small details you've given us that are just enough to make us appreciate you as a distinct personality and yet not so much that we feel anything demanded of us. You are also excellent at using your words to say exactly what you mean to say, exactly what we all understand but can't express. Isn't that what fanfiction is for? For us to read in words the emotions we have already seen in body language and broken eyes, and felt through the camera shots and background music. And you, my friend, are very good at that.

So I'm sorry, because this isn't really a review of this story at all. But I always feel disappointed when someone favorites me and doesn't ever say anything, so I figured I should at least post something. I like your stories - all of them. And if I had time and the words to say, I would review them all. :)

Wow...for someone who says she doesn't really know the series well, you've got this dead on hon! Excellent, powerful, perfect! This was one of the best tags I've read for this episode...if not the very best. You got all the relationships spot on and especially Steve's way of thinking...his heroism, his guilt, his feeling he's the last to be considered or saved, his self doubt, his friendship with the team, who are all absolutely spot on. Just a wonderful piece of reading, to be kept and read again...and again...and again!
