Really Auggie? Now you want to know what it feels like to kiss Annie? After telling her you only see her as a friend? That was low even for you.

It seems like she's going through a list of logical reasons to move forward with her life after Auggie's rejection. It's like a wall of defense is being erected. But Annie's a strong and independent woman, she'll make it through this. And if Auggie doesn't realize what he just passed up, that's his loss.

So I say, move on, Annie. You can do it.

I get that Auggie believes this with every fiber of his being but forgive me for saying this, what a load of bull shit. He's scared and putting up defenses so that he doesn't get hurt. That smacks of running away. It's so not about protecting Annie.

Plus, he's making all the decisions. He can't even give her the options and have her choose whether to be with him or not. He took that choice away from her when he summarily decided that she wouldn't be able to handle a relationship with him.

I'm a little bit disappointed with both of them. They need to talk without lies. No subterfuge allowed.
