I loved your story. I think that you've represented so well those bad sentiments through a snake. And I also like the way you made Loki look as a mad but even in that madness he still had a little part in his heart that refuses to get lost in his anger and malice, even when he knows that he had already lost in it.

I vascillate from story to story on rather going back to Asgard is what would be best for Loki. You have touched on the fragile nature of his stability. Would his family really be able to bring him back or would they end up driving him hopelessly insane... I really like the snake metaphor, brilliant.
