Gregres94 chapter 1 . 6/14/2013 this is one of the most beautiful and poetic fics I've ever read... and I know this says so little, but I'm too delighted to add anything else... so thank you! and well done! |
Sorrel Forbes chapter 1 . 5/13/2012 Very nice character/relationship study. (I wouldn't say it's sacreligious, but unless that surprises/interests you I won't go on about theology.) |
JJ chapter 1 . 4/14/2012 Wonderful story. I loved how it went from explosive to incredibly sweet. I', looking forward to seeing more stories from you. |
PhrasesForTheYoung chapter 1 . 3/30/2012 Using a psalm in a slash, how very daring of you. If i was religious I would be horrified but I'm not and I actually thought it was rather beautiful. |
cantsaymylastname chapter 1 . 3/21/2012 Gorgeous story. I went backwards. I read pax first. But this is stunning. What a magical love story. |
crabbysun chapter 1 . 2/11/2012 ...My brain...she is melted... |
speciallark chapter 1 . 1/18/2012 "This was what it meant for John to know him, deeply and thoroughly, to discern every part of him, to sound every dark crevice and secret passage. He wanted this man to know him in this way, had waited months and perhaps years (waiting without knowing that it would be this man, precisely this man, who would render him so willing and eager) to be known like this. " Love this line, especially in light of TRF episode and John 'knowing' Sherlock. Very sweet sex scene, not at all hard or rough. Even though that's probably what Sherlock wanted, it wasn't what John was willing to give at that time. |
sami1010220 chapter 1 . 1/15/2012 That was fantastic. Those verses were absolutely perfect for this fic, and your interpretation of the relationship between sherlock and john was beautiful. Great job! |
anon chapter 1 . 11/28/2011 Amazing. Completely amazing. I love how John hadn't realised his feelings for Sherlock as well- it seems more in character. And it actually seems just like Sherlock to suddenly pounce on John like that, if he were to do it at all of course,I doubt he'd take it slow. But yeah, this story is just brilliant |
FrankieMittens chapter 1 . 11/28/2011 well, i must say that if i had _anything_ to do with inspiring you to write this story, i'm very very very glad that i did! wonderfully written, love the dialogue. this was my absolute favorite: "John stroked Sherlock's cheek again, and suddenly he was staring into Sherlock's gray eyes, and pulling his hand back, but Sherlock caught his hand and brought it to his chest, and now John was trapped there, kneeling on the floor next to the divan, as Sherlock ran his fingers over and over John's knuckles. " i swear my heartbeat went up by 100% when i read that, so intense - love it! |
Creeper J chapter 1 . 11/27/2011 Very nice. While I enjoyed certain parts of the psalms, I feel that they occasionally weighed the story down. Also, Sherlock, who doesn't even know that the planets revolve around the sun, wouldn't be likely to remember the verses, even if they held some reference to him. Still, overall, it was a good piece. |
Eligh chapter 1 . 11/26/2011 This was lovely. I especially liked your use of the psalm... it fits (in my mind) perfectly with ACD canon. Sherlock never struck me as especially religious, but he was definitely very aware of the impact of religion. So it makes sense that he would know the psalms by heart-they're something he would find useful, and wouldn't delete. Excellent, excellent. I'm glad you decided to write this. It was a pleasure to read. |
sivsc chapter 1 . 11/26/2011 Slight point of contention that annoyed me a bit as I was reading, Sherlock's wearing a sleeping gown not a kimono. The kimono is more formal and has a thicker belt, and there's a bunch of other stuff. Other than that one little pet peeve, I quite liked this story. It was very emotional and I felt that your characterization was spot on for John, Sherlock, and Sarah and added more depth to their characters at the same time (John and Sherlock especially). Sherlock might have seemed a bit emotional at times, but I feel that was reasonable given what happened in the story. Also, John being the big potty-mouth that he is can be blamed on him being stressed so ... well done and nicely written. |
SeenaC chapter 1 . 11/26/2011 Geez, where to begin? This is going in my favorites. This is...just amazing. I love the use of the psalm. Wow, the Bible has never been so hot! It works perfectly, seductively, and truthfully in the scene. That was an amazingly creative idea and it fits them like a glove. (How's that for a cliche?) And the smex is mind-blowing. And so in-character for both of them. Just wonderful. Congratulations on a fantastic piece. |
Skyfullofstars chapter 1 . 11/26/2011 My Heart is now absolutely shattered...and I can now go on with the rest of my day...secure in the knowledge that EVERYTHING is as it should be at 221B Baker Street...now and forever. Oh Well Done, YOU! Beautifully written and utterly, utterly lovely. |
