Interesting, good and sad.

Aww so cute:) I'm sure Anakin did think about his during Padme's pregnancy...but also wanted to love it at the same time.

This made me think of Edward and his thoughts when Bella was pregnant..(hahah sorry for the random comparison, I just saw Breaking Dawn today)

Really well written. Good job :) X
Kate Skywalker chapter 1 . 11/25/2011
Intresting take on Anakin's feelings which I think are not completely out of character - it's logical for him to balance between the love for his unborn child(ren) (and I'm completely convinced he did love them and was very happy to hear about the pregnancy - see ROTS Reunion scene) and at the same time the mixed feelings because he felt that the baby will ultimately cause Padmé's death, it's like when he would be given a choice at the birth - save his dying love, or their baby(ies)?

When I saw the movie, I did get the feeling he cared about the baby as you can see, he always asks about it and absently touches Padmé's belly, and it was even in the script that he was convinced the baby was a girl.

And that is proof enough, he couldn't lie about such thing, Anakin is too honest and frank for that.

This is very well written, and quite a good take on what Anakin may have been feeling at the start of ROTS. You did this very well!
Odele chapter 1 . 11/25/2011
It does make sense, though I don't think it's in Anakin's character. At first, seeing the movie, I didn't think he ever cared about their child, but in the novelization, he's very excited, even after the dreams, and insists it's a girl. Also, from the way he acts about Luke in the original trilogy, you can tell he really loves his child(ren).

So, yeah, it makes sense, really well written, but I don't think that's really how Anakin felt (except for maybe a few very ungenerous moments when he was hedging toward the dark side).

So great :D I heartily agree with you. As much as the idea tears at me, (being such a sucker for Anakin & Luke/Leia fluff... yeah, I admit it) it was one of the things I thought about when I saw RotS for the first time. To have Anakin dislike his own child makes perfect sense, especially in a mind as paranoid and jealous as RotS Anakin's was. You really hit the nail on the head :) And not only that, you were able to actually get your idea across in a really well-written manner. Not to sound like an elitist or anything, but it's honestly getting harder and harder to find authors on here that can do that, especially with a good plotline or theme... But anyway, awesome work. I absolutely loved it :D
