I made the mistake of reading the sequel before I read this. Though, I read both many moons ago, I'd forgotten the story line. Otherwise, I would have thought Steven was a lover.

WELL DONE! I had to re-read the last paragraph and the E/N about 4 times ... racking my brains as to whether I had skipped a chapter or that you had omitted a chapter! Then I realized that as the reader I just ASSUMED that Steven was a grown man and Ianto's lover.

Beautiful ending except that you killed off Ianto. I understand ... I'll read the sequel now (but in my mind, Ianto will be off with The Doctor somewhere ... and this is all a delusion)
