I would honestly read more of this a Skyfire not getting the decepticon treatment rush like in the show just a very confused shuttle boi learning about what happened as a strange nice neutral who could change the world or some mechs and maybe make sure Starscream happy!

When ever I'm in a Skyfire type of mood I enjoy coming back to this work a lot, its a fantastic read.
I sort of wish the what-if hadn't stopped here but I think you also picked a great place to stop at the same time. Perhaps its that Starscream went to go look and found Skyfire on his own and the lack of anyone watching is what to this much milder result(happier as well?)
I'm not sure if what would follow would maintained the sort of tone that this version of the encounter starts but for sure this little bit of this scenario is both interesting and sweet.

...And now I feel like an idiot for not reading this sooner. Starscream's sweet in this, being all caring about Skyfire - and willing to put him first - and the difference between being with him and being back with the 'cons. Also the fact that he remembers Skyfire's a pacifist and just accepts that he'd be (excuse my language) completely slagged if he joined the war was really quite sweet too, 'though I'm not sure how much of that was due to knowing Skyfire and how much from getting to his spark when activating him.

I'd love to see a continuation of this at some point - I know it's probably not going to happen, don't worry - but it's brilliant as it is anyway.

I really hope to read more of this soon! I bet Skyfire would be so happy studying the life that evolved while he was asleep that he wouldn't overly mind being told to stay out of the way. Of course, if he sees Megatron or an Autobot shooting Starscream, I don't think he'd be too happy about it.

I just read it again, and OH when Starscream hugged Skyfire I was just swamped with emotions and I felt as though I was hugging Skyfire and Starscream at the same time, and the comfort and warmth I felt was just... unreal. Because it wasn't real, obviously, but it felt so powerful... Starscream's instincts, too, were wonderful to read. He has to REMEMBER that he can relax, that he can smile, that he can show emotion and 'weakness'... It's so amazingly in-character. You are such a fantastic writer. Just... Wow...

Wonder what other embarrassing situations Skyfire had witnessed Starscream in? ;)

This is probably the few Star/Sky fics that can touch my emotion so much. The mourning scene was very touching, poignant. The Star in this fic is interesting - he is the perfect balance between the deceptive deadly Air Commander and a steadfast, reliable good friend. That, and this story can actually be seen as either a friendship piece, or a romance, depending on the reader's perception.
While it will be great to read a sequel from this (if you've written it/planning for one), I think it is just fine to leave it as it is, letting the readers imagine the route that this story would take and the ending with it. I'm with the open-ending option :)

Wonderful story! I much prefer the fanon Starscream to the cartoon one, he's a lot nicer - the interaction when Skyfire wakes up is so sweet! While you could write a sequel to this, and it would probably be great, I think it's also brilliant just leaving it here, hinting at an optimistic future and allowing us to use our imagination. (Ending on the word 'Victory' was a really nice touch ;D )

You MUST write a sequel to this! PLEASE. This story is amazing. The wording is great, vocabulary fantastic, grammar/punctuation correctly used, and the PLOT! The plot is spiffentastic! You really must write a sequel, telling us of Starscream eventually bringing Skyfire back to the Victory. In fact, you could even turn this into a long story, however many chapters you please.

PLEASE PLLLLEAAASSEE write a sequel. PLEASE!
