You know what this reminds me of, and not in the good way at all, the early tootsie-like version of Disney’s mulan, where she was originally a selfish character that wanted to go to war just so she could escape from her tiresome life and her arranged marriage to shang, wanting a sense of adventure, and not the one we all know and love that is a selfless, kind and noble independent woman that wanted to go to war to save her father’s life and pretty much all of China as well. the Amaterasu in Ōkami would never do something like that. Even the game implied that Amaterasu might’ve already been ruler of the celestial plains after izanagi’s passing and before orochi invaded it. I guess she go to the mortal world to not only stop orochi, but also save both worlds as well, like Mulan. I’m sorry, I’m just a huge fan of Mulan, Ōkami and Lilo & Stitch. I just don’t like this fanfic story, honestly.

While I do like how you portrayed waka a little consistently with the original game, I’m sorry if I offend you, but I’m just not into this story. I don’t know, maybe it’s the whole thing with the overprotective and controlling parent and arranged marriage with an wealthy and rich suitor cliches that I hate most, along with how ammy is portrayed in this fanfic. It would probably been better if this fanfic is just waka meeting ammy when she is already an adult and is ruler of the celestial plains after both events of izanagi’s passing And the moon tribe cataclysm at the hands of yami.

Your writing has greatly improved! I am a few years too late to the Okami fandom it seems. But if you were to continue this story, I would greatly appreciate it!
