Jesus, this story is actually AMAZING! I personally really like stories that explore further into the Eragon - Saphira bond in any way. The way this one builds up a romance between them is very well planned. It actually feels initially to both of them that these new feelings are wrong and should be frowned upon, which is to be expected, and yet they can't help themselves until finally giving in. This makes it that such an unlikely bond between a dragon and a rider actually feels believable in the context of the inheritance cycle. On a note of constructive criticism, I get that the author was making Saphira gentler and cuter to develop a romance between her and Eragon, however it would be nice to explore a little more of Saphira's brutality and fierceness (very well made in the courtship scene), as well as her draconic way of seeing the world (like when Paolini wrote chapters through Saphira's eyes and conveyed her unique way of perceiving reality through compound adjectives). That would make the story even more believable. But that aside, GREAT story, best Eragon fic I've ever read, I really hope the author finds some time to update it.

Six years since the last update... I'm kinda sad. I really enjoyed reading this and wish there was more. The current ending is still better than Paolini's ending to Inheritance in my opinion

I want to post this message even though this story and it's writer has gone far beyond the fanfiction grave of dead stories. This story was honestly the most creative and inspiring for me for a romance, I had just come off of reading the full Inheritance Cycle unsatisfied with the ending when I randomly came across this and read it. The Eragon x Saphira ship is something that feels so perfect (especially in the aftermath of Paolini's writing, seeing as Arya/Eragon and Saphira/Firnen were never likely to meet again). Your writing mimicked Paolini's perfectly but with a slight diversity that made it more interesting. I'd honestly think this would be the perfect "sequel" to Inheritance (M rated, though). But speaking of the M rating, the sex scene you have is beyond perfect in passion and pleasure, and you played the characters in the story to perfectly match how Paolini wrote them. This whole series has made me obsessed with ExS fics and I've read every single one out there (excluding human! Saphira because I think that being a dragon defines Saphira as a personality in part). This is my third reread, and will be my last ExS story I read unless this gets updated, so that I can part with my odd sexual attraction to dragons. I have nothing bad to say about the writing, so this "review" is more just praise than anything else. I've already sent an email with a similar paragraph written down, but holy hell did I enjoy this even more on the rereads; so much so I wanted to send in. Thank you for your writing, and never give up on your dreams! I hope in these years you've found prosperity and well being.
