All of the lies and BS which we read in canon built pretty high walls around each of their hearts, making the final attempt to breach the walls scary and filled with misunderstandings. You nailed it! A much much better ending than we were given by JE. Well written. You kept the characters personalities and still gave the relationship and love that everyone can see growing.
