This honestly makes me think of my dad’s acceptance of me being trans. He wasn’t as harsh as Santana’s dad, and I didn’t try to end it all. But he, for months, refused to call me by my preferred pronouns and name, then finally one day, I started to have worrisome seizures, and soon got diagnosed with epilepsy. I was in the hospital for 10 days, he was terrified the entire time that he was going to lose me. He even corrected his own parents when they came by (cuz they still dead named me). And when I got out of the hospital, right before he left for work one morning, he hugged me and said “love you, buddy”.

This was handled much better then the show did and I enjoyed reading it even some of the heavier stuff. It was written very well and with care. I would like to write more but I'm not very good at writing reviews over a big story if I didn't review as it unfolded

I really like that you managed to make Santana and her mother on better terms but without making it sappy and her father also having a change of heart - it was much more realistic the way you did it. The last two chapters ruined this story. You tried so hard to make Santana masculine when she's so femme. Why does she always have to be the one to propose? Excusee me while I roll my eyes so hard I have a seizure. I didn't realize you were a Brittany Stan or I wouldn't have read it. I hate shitty endings.
