Holy shit, a good oc-centric Percy Jackson fic. Just starting, and already hooked.

dear imagine, I just realized a horrible truth. I'm only a few chapters in so correct me when I'm wrong. seth is essentially a clone correct? completely identical to artamis genetically. then why is he Male? if he was just a copy and pasted DNA into a viable embryo then he would be female correct? so that leaves us with two scenarios. the first is that artamis fucked up and accidentally made him male. which is honestly as likely as a watch growing from moss, as a deliberate sex change would require genetic modification of supreme precision and skill. the second is a much more likelyand horrifyingpossibility. she deliberately made him Male so she could take advantage of her innate sociopathic sexism. distancing herself from her own child by making him inadequate in her own eyes. so no matter what he did and accomplished, she could still use him like tool and dispose of him if necessary. in my opinion this is low, even for the gods. it's child soldier rearing, only a step up from rape and murder.

Okay, WOW. So, you may recognise me as a reviewer from "The Chairman's Spy". I was thinking about reading a new fanfic and I remembered yours, and though do they have any other fanfics? Because you have such good writing and flow and pacing and UGH EVERYTHING. So I clicked your bio and found some Pjo fics, now I haven't been part of the fandom for a while now, but I though why not give it a go?

Your writing is just as magnificent as it is now and I swear you must have some witchcraft up your sleeves to be able to write this well? Like, you're amazing?

Okay, so to the story. I LOVE IT. Usually I'm not a fan of virgin goddess has a child fanfictions, because that goes against, you know, the virgin thing. But you managed to overcome that obstacle by doing the Artemis is a fertility goddess thing and she can create mini hers without doing the sex. And that's really admirable and plausible! So, thanks for keeping Artemis in character and not have her SUDDENLY fall against her oath. (Bonus points because she is my favourite goddess)

Also, your flow and pacing of the story, impeccable! Like some people just copy word for word the original text, but you put your own spin on it, and cut out the unimportant parts. And it feels so natural! I'm so use to Percy being the main POV that it's refreshing to see such a well written outsider's perspective on this AU.

Now, my new baby, Seth Hunter. My GODS do I love him! Starting from the top, I relate to him so much, not only on the I love the moon and animals thing. But I also relate so much to his anger. His anger towards his mother-creator-whatever, is so realistic and understandable. Like, you are trying to use him and if he doesn't suit your purpose you kill him? First of all, bad parenting. Second of all, that's messed up, like really messed up, you don't bring people into this horrible world and expect them to do whatever you want and be okay with it. So, yeah, he is a really relatable character and I love him.

Next, your interpretation of the canon. Usually when an OC is placed into a world and intervenes with the canon story, some may do it in a way that messes with the set rules, and it irks me to see. Like, they would make them the 4th member of the quest (going against the rule of 3), they would make that the centre of attention (Percy is suppose to be the front and centre prophecy boy, not anyone else) or they make them more powerful that they are suppose to. And you may have some idea of how glad I am to see that this fic DID NONE OF THAT! Seth is a perfectly good protagonist to be at the side of the true protagonist Percy. He doesn't take too much of the spotlight, he doesn't suddenly become the talk of the camp, and he is realistic. And it is highly appreciated how much care and though you must have put into this character.

Okay, I could go on and write...idk 10 of these points that would take up your time reading, but this review is long enough. But I just wanted to say how amazing this is and has definitely reignited my love for Percy Jackson! I just wanted to get this fangirly feeling off my mind. I will read to sequel to this after I'm done typing this review, and I'm so excited to do it. It's like 2am where I am right now, and I may have some regrets about this in the morning, but not right now!

It's a really interesting book so far but i have to question: Why would you use a supposed 'healing potion' given by someone who you realise is an enemy. Isnt it more likely to be poison?

A very nice story! I was pleasantly surprised to find that you actually came up with a logical way to present him as a 'child' (more like gender/species-bent clone) of Artemis. Most 'child of Artemis' type stories frustrate me within the first chapter because of the lack of logic or the generic methods they're written with. This one, on the contrary, grabbed me and kept me hooked throughout the whole story. Very well done!

So Seth is okay with having his entire orphanage explode ? Not a little bit of trauma ? He just get up and do has nothing happened ?
