FearOfEscalators chapter 17 . 6/21 Hello. This is a very late review, but I just really wanted to thank you for how you depicted Hermione's journey towards discovering her sexuality. Hers mirrored mine to a scary degree actually, and I think that's why this story means so much to me. I also figured mine out at age 18, and the process was also similarly VERY cerebral. It wasn't a painful discovery, but it was filled with questions and doubts, of looking back and having to re-evaluate my former relationships. Hermione's conversation with Harry was just beautiful. I cherish this story so much, and I'm so grateful you shared this story with us! |
JenDamn chapter 16 . 5/17 This was a great chapter! |
SilverTurtle chapter 18 . 4/29 I first read this story years ago when you were still writing it and wasn't kind enough to leave a comment then. I reread it just recently and as I was going along I was like 'oh, that's where I remember that from!' quite a bit. There are parts of this story that have stuck with me since that first reading and it was a joy to read them again. Fleur leaving her hair at the tree is a scene that I never forgot, it was such an evocative moment. The spell of protection and how it was cast was also a scene I found myself recalling frequently, it set a standard in my mind for this pairing that is not easy to live up to! I remembered Dave, Bill, and the wizarding biggots and Bill's coming out scene. Mostly I remembered how much emotion this story brought the first time around, because it brought just as much (if not more) on another read through. I am not ashamed to say that several parts of this story had me in tears. It's been so nice spending the last few nights rereading this. Thank you for sharing it. |
LunarMiko07 chapter 18 . 4/26 Great story! I was so completely hooked! |
andrewpine chapter 6 . 4/22 So far this story is so depressing hope it will lighten up soon. |
andrewpine chapter 4 . 4/21 Why did she not correct Ronald over the morning after drug? Fleur does not need any car From him. I am also surprised that he didn't go running to Bill about it. |
Elizabeth chapter 16 . 4/4 Hi! I'm actually really impress with your history. I don't know of you will read this but from some who's english it's awful you had written a wonderful and understandable fic. I love it and I'm sure that will still love it cause this is just the 16 chapter and someone told that there's a second part. Pleas keep writing, the histories of your mind strike me in a wonderful sense. |
Grey chapter 18 . 3/17 Thank you for writing such a wonderful story. I loved it to bits. Time to read your other works! |
Grey chapter 4 . 3/15 This story is seriously amazing. I can't believe I've not read it before. It's heartwarming and melancholy and sweet and wonderful. I love their interactions and thoughts, and the insights on magic. Your storytelling is a joy to read. |
FarmerGirl chapter 18 . 8/19/2019 While I am anxiously waiting for the next installment of Thread Softly, I decided to take a look at your other work, and what a wonder to find your Fleur and Hermione story. I see that even six years ago, your writing was beautiful, your characters rendered so well, weaving in a new story-line that perfectly fits with the original world. I love your use of magic and nature. It's lovely time spent in one of your stories. Thank you for your work. |
revilo chapter 18 . 8/14/2019 Hello, I just want to say thank you so so much for writing and sharing this story. It is crazy to me that you started this eight years ago (finished six years ago) and here I am, today, dazedly wrapped up in its no-less-faded magic. The power of well told stories! Humbling and electrifying. And this one! Yours! It is so..INCREDIBLY..beautiful. The care you took with Fleur and Hermione’s story was just...breathtaking. Your characterization of Fleur was absolutely artful. Hermione was so stubbornly, wonderfully flawed (herself!). The intricacy of the spells and the dreams and do you know, I was just so affected by the chapter about the aftermath of the battle. The attention you afforded death, so oft slotted away... I found it fascinating. I grimaced the whole way through that part and yet now..it stands out. And truly the chapter where they consummated the spell—have I ever wheeled so freely beside two characters? The imagery you wove throughout, and especially in that scene, inspired every page with an otherworldliness even now I can’t seem to look at directly. And the mystery of your writing! Sometimes I felt like I was clawing at the words. “SPEAK!” I would think, but would settle for the facade, treading forward with the nagging feeling that the truth of a scene I hadn’t divined. The possibilities! You write so beautifully. This story will stay with me. THANK YOU. |
xxDark Angel Babyxx chapter 18 . 7/19/2019 This was great! I hope there a sequel! |
JenDamn chapter 5 . 6/20/2019 I generally think poetry in fanfiction is pretentious too, but super great choices (really highlights how Hermione feels at that point without spending paragraphs on it). I prefer it to song lyrics, anyway, lol. Well unless they're really well chosen. That is rarely true. I'm really enjoying this story, :o). |
andrewpine chapter 4 . 4/8/2019 Why not destroy Bellatrix's wand so she can never use it again.a nice bonfire one evening would be nice I think. She needs to tell that asshat Ron that the medicine was for her so he would stop being .it's of an asshole then normal. I am surprised that he hasn't said something to Bill instead of stewing in his unnecessary hatred. |
andrewpine chapter 2 . 4/8/2019 Her thoughts on Ronald are proof that she is the most brilliant witch of her or any age. Her having anything to do with him would be a is a selfish child and I really never understood why they rung with him especially after he ran out on them which in my mind was one of the major reasons why they were where they are now. Will be feel the same once she ends up with his wife? |
