Great job. Loved seeing Beach BS his way thru a wine tasting. Now let's how he deals with the matrons of high society. Something tells me they'll find him "charming", and he's gonna be telling Wayne the kid and Beachead to "Shut It!" Alot. Looking foward to the next installment soon. I love, absolutely love, how Beach is thinking wistfully of how Courtney is the exact opposite of polite high society ladies.
Also, I am picturing the following conversation.
"Nice...bag. Looks like you could fit a snubnose .38 in there no problem."
"Excuse ME?"
"Whut? Aw, dammit. Told Hawk I wasn't no good at this rich people stuff."

I keep wondering who to feel sorry for with this story. In this chapter, I'm thinking the socialites are in more trouble than Beach Head!

Even if you think it was a weak chapter, it was still very enjoyable.

Hee, hee, hee ... so, did Edith Mason fall for the "Disumbrationist" hoax, or was that one left over from the previous generation? Or did she put the painting and plaque up to prank guests, in which case my opinion of her is going up? (Beach, you can borrow my book on famous hoaxes if you want.)

I don't drink, so the wine tasting went over my head. Nice bluff on Beach's part, though.

I can't help but wonder what Beachhead would do if he some how found he popular with the society ladies? XD pardon me, i have a bunny to lock away forever.

Yippieh, finally another chapter. Well, maybe for you it's the worst chapter, but it still was a good one for a nice big grin for me. I just hope Beach can hold on to that. And about the "complimenting the ladies": dammit, Courtney never gabe him an opportunity to practice. Maybe he should have accompanied Lady Jaye a couple of times.
