I am mostly favoriting this for your authors note at the end. I love the sassy cynicism. :)

So I've read this fic a couple of times both here, on the T&B anon and AO3 and...

I'm not entirely sure I ever reviewed it?

So I'm rectifying it now.

"Deadweight" is probably one of the most evocate, heart-wrenching, powerful fanfics I have EVER read, in any fandom. Especially because all the characters are just so in-character. In series, we see just how dedicated Kotetsu is to his job, and the idea that he would push himself to these extremes isn't too much off the mark. And seeing Barnaby, who has grown so much in 25 episodes, worry and fret and just try and be there for his obstinate partner was just great.

So, uh, lemme just say, thank you so much for writing this.

This fic probably wouldn't have been as awesome if it wasn't written in present tense.

*facepalms* Yeah, this is exactly the sort of stupidly stubborn thing he would do.

I followed this on the meme and I liked it a lot! The massage and questioning was my favorite part. It struck me as being rather clever, and now I get to read your footnote and see it's a real technique. Cool beans, writer! (:

I loved it. Their dynamic feels so solid and in-character. Especially them not being too sappy at the beginning but having romance arise naturally from partnership - they way you wrote that, was really touching!

I loved this SO MUCH. Shame on you for making it a one-shot. You've got some nerve to not make another chapter of this! It had me hooked from the very beginning. xD

This is such a cute fic. I like hurt and healing fics I think it's the ultimate form of sap. And you did it very well. And by the end I was practically gushing. Good job.
