Is it safe to assume that Marik commited suicide? How did he die?

On a different note, this story is well paced and amazing.

I enjoyed this. (I'm so descriptive...bah. Whatever.)
Really, I don't have much else to say about this. I really like how the story worked backwards, that's something you don't see very often, and I appreciated something different.
Here comes the aw required of all Thiefshipping fics. Aww! They're so perfect for each other! In my headcanon, I don't allow Bakura to die...he must live happily ever after with Marik! Also the thought of Marik being left alone makes me want to cry while watching Titanic... (Today I learned that Bakura and Marik are the real Jake and Rose...)
Pointless ramblings done. I would like to know how he dies. It'll probably just depress me, but still.

Loved the story. Yami Bakura and Marik's tenderness towards each other in the Field of Reeds makes me smile.

He wasn't even in the arc or in danger so I'm dying to know.

I always wandered what would have happened if Marik had trusted Bakura enough to show him his back or tell him what would happen if you gathered all the cards and the items at the tablet.

I don't even recall what the significance of all that in his master plan was anymore. Only that the ring spirit had no idea that Marik was even a tomb keeper in the series which seemed kind of hokey to me. An ancient evil spirit (Zork) can't see something significant in an teen EGYPTIAN boy appearing with an item.

Marik doesn't grasp the clue phone at a seemingly possessed boy wearing the ring? That he hadn't heard SOME tale passed down through his texts or ancestors regarding the ancient evil and what it might be?

That the boy wanted to get the pharaoh and they didn't piece any of it together yet they are both supposed to be very bright people.

It just always seemed very cut to me, like it had been rushed and there had to much more that wasn't written due to time constraints.

I think that's what leaves the story so open to plot holes, and outside interpretation for us to built upon. not such a bad thing.

Anyway, enough of my meaningless drabble, can't wait for another update.

I don't think the backward chronological order works well.

This was very good. The premise was interesting, and something I'd never really considered, although in retrospect it makes quite a bit of sense (well, from a fanon shippibg perspective). Despite being backwards, this story wasn't confusing at all, which is awesome.

So... how did Marik die? You do know that by saying "you don't want to know" you'll only make people want to know more...
