Thus was amazing! Wonderful imagery and emotions. The vocabulary was mind blowing! And it's not like some of the other stories when in like the matter of one day their already married if u know what I mean :)

This completely blew me away. Hands-down the best Steve and Evie story I've ever read. You painted her exactly how I imagined her, your word choice was perfect, Steve was completely in-character, and I was sad to see it end! This was absolutely flawless.
Stay gold.

Okay, I'm going to review this first as it will be shorter than the other one. But not short!

I like how Evie isn't head over heels from the start of the fic. She has the same feelings I had about Steve as a reader he's arrogant and not very nice, so it's nice to watch you point out the general consensus and then dispel the myths one by one.

'You get that he's just as handsome as Soda - in a rugged, I'm-moody-and-girls-think-that's-sexy kind of way '- Best comparison I have ever read of Soda and Steve's looks.

'The guy is still a dick, but shit, he sure smells nice.'- I love how purely the way he smells turns her round little by little in the Dingo scene, but she's still in denial that she's attracted to him. I also realised here that Sylvia and Evie have a lot of similarities, they both swear, are attractive and well made up- I guess that Sylvia get a worse reputation because she's with Dallas.

'Everything about David is always so calm - the way he talks, the way he drives, even the way he fights. You hate it.' - I love this because you are playing up to Steve's character without ever mentioning him. We all instantly think 'Well, Steve would get angry. He'd be open about how he felt.' And we are rooting for him and Evie.

You're a little drunk. David is ever drunker.- Did you mean 'even' drunker?

I liked the scene between Steve and Evie at Bucks, and his five adjectives about why he's nice lol.

And Steve defending her honour is so sweet. What an ass David is. I like how Sandy told her straight away what had gone on too.

I enjoyed their first kiss although the narrative order gave away any suspense from him pulling up beside her in the car. I kind of would have liked to see that scene in chronological order but that's just my humble opinion.

The only other criticism I have with this is David. I don't really understand why Evie is with him when she's such a savvy streetwise girl. He's obviously boring and not even very nice. And yet before Steve, she seems quite into him. He seems better suited to being Sandy's first boyfriend rather than Evie's. Maybe some detail about what she liked about him could have persuaded me.

But overall, I really liked this. And even though it's only one chapter, it reads like a longer fic and still ends really finally- we know that's the end. It's great insight into the start of their relationship and you make Steve as swoonworthy as usual. I like Evie too, and although I love Anna and Born, I remember why I thought Evie and Steve were such a good match to begin with.

Part of the reason for that is because every time you crack your eyes open you're gaze lands on Steve. - It should be 'your'.

I love Evie's spunky personality and that her dislike for Steve slowly changes into something totally different. I love the way you portrayed her relationship with Sandy and how you showed their "introduction" to the boys. I love the way you wrote Steve - cocky and full of himself (with a hot temper), but still a nice guy underneath. Like I said ... Everything. I love everything.

This *almost* encourages me to go back to writing my stories again ... ;)

It amused me throughout because I'm a sucker for the 'He's a cocky asshole, but so darn sexy.' stories.

This is one of the best Steve and Evie stories I've ever read. I loved it so much! I don't even know where to begin.

I liked how Evie didn't like Steve at first. She thought he was cocky, and she was more concerned with her own boyfriend. But I liked how she slowly but surely started to fall for him, even though she didn't want to admit it to herself. And I loved how he defended her and punched out David! He already had such a strong protective instinct over her, and they weren't even dating yet.

I also liked how we got to see a little bit of how Sandy and Soda's relationship started out. That was a nice touch.

And I loved the end. Kissing in the rain is so romantic :)

Ha! I knew this was too polished to be a "newbie".

The idea that Sandy would go to the DX when there are fewer girls to compete is cool. Ponyboy's description of her seems to point to her not competing with anyone. Whether she is or not, here she's insecure.

You march up to him, books held to your chest. "You speakin' to me yet?"- I like that Evie, on the other hand, is confident enough to call this guy on his behavior.

"Sandy's a smart one"- Foreshadowing!

I like this as a one-shot. I think it can stand alone just fine, but Steve and Evie are an interesting couple. With her close relationship to Sandy, it makes me wonder what you would do with Sandy's pregnancy in this setting.

This is so refreshing! I haven't read a good Steve!Evie fic in SUCH a long time, I really love them together. I love how you've characterized Evie, she's a real original, along with her and Steve's conversations; they're really like flirty, but witty and argumentative. I love this, and if this is a one-shot I will be so sad, haha. If it's not I will definitely continue reviewing!

First of all, please don't tell me this is a one shot. Second, please keep writing. Third, you're amazing.

Honestly, this is the BEST Steve and Evie story I have ever seen. Heck, it's the best one-shot I've seen in a long time. The fact that you can write second person amazingly is another props. Everything flowed perfectly; the internal dialogue, the dialogue, the lyrics, the way you gave Evie a boyfriend before Steve...ah, just reading this gave me chills!

I like how Evie thought of Steve as cocky, arrogant, and just totally out of her league at the beginning of the story. It was perfect, and shows character development, which is so hard to accomplish in a one-shot, but you pulled it off gorgeously.

I like how Evie interacts with everyone. She's smart and witty and snappy, which is exactly how I pictured her. You did a good job of not making her some trashy greaser girl. You actually gave her some depth and personality.

Steve. God, you pulled him off so damn perfectly, too. Sweet, charming, funny, clever...I could go on, but I think you get the picture. Anyways, the way he talked to Evie made me want to melt. My expectations for boys are now WAY too high.

Anyways, I love your work. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE if you continued this, but if you didn't, it would still be perfect because you ended it beautifully.

That was amazing! I love Steve and evie and that was definitely one of the better fics wth them. I love the idea that they didn't just hit it off right away.
