Tell me about it! August only began his mission to wake Emma up because he started to turn back into a wooden puppet and needed Emma. And, of course it’s unreasonable to load that info on someone (re Saviour and a curse) all at once at expect them to be able to cope with it as if it’s all fine and water off a duck’s back?! Particularly as it means that Emma’s whole life was a lie and that she could have had a life that didn’t endure all the pain and suffering and loneliness. That punch was well deserved.

I'm so disappointed in myself for finally reading this update a month late, but, here I am! I still absolutely LOVE this fanfic, even though I haven't read Snowing fanfics in a while. This update definitely reminded me of the love I have for this fanfic. I love this little chapter of reading inside Emma's head during this tough transition, and how you still used it in this HC-verse (of course). Keep up the great work! :D

Ah so exciting to see an update! It's been so long since I've watched the first season, this is like an awesome trip down memory lane, with that added bonus of the backstory of this fic. This story just reminds me, and probably many more, why we fell in love with this show in the first place!

Love the update and the way you don't gloss over the conflict any child would have if abandoned no matter the reasons or circumstances. Hope you update your other story soon.

Thanks for the update. I liked this chapter. I was wondering who was going to end up eating the turnover and even if it was going to show up.

Well, I need to go back and refresh myself on the earlier chapters, but I like how you portray Emma's relationship with her parents: loving but painful. It will take time for them to heal, but hopefully it will scar over instead of being a gaping wound.
