I like this story. You've done a really good job of bringing it into a modern day time. I'm not really certain what to think about Hawke though. She's physically very capable of playing a role in Fenris' issues, or avenging her sister or mother's deaths (maybe even legally helping out in an occasional defensive/protective altercation?) but instead she comes off more as just a girl with unused karate skills. But I really like how you included Alistair and made Anders redeemable. And the entire Rivain incident was well done.

Just finished reading. An amazing story! The DA and today's worlds are mixed together so well! And I loved that you also brought Zevran as a good friend :) (I loved his character in games, so amusing ;D )
The romance between Hawke and Fenris was slow evolving, but so beautiful :)
I had to brush few tears were needed and laughed at funny parts too. Absolutely wonderful! ;D

This is very well done. I do like them taking it slow. Two things I found strange: I can't imagine someone as mild as Donnic getting angry enough while on the job to shout and curse at Anders in such an unprofessional manner.

Also,it's starting to get a little odd that Fenris and Hawke like all of the same music? I find it difficult to believe. I'd assume someone was lying by this point! Or stalking! Seems a bit like something a very young teen would think equals a great relationship. I don't think it's necessary to have them like all of the same songs & singers. Just my two cents.

I giggled at the thought of them eating tiny and fancy Orlesian food. That was a really cute detail. I imagine they're still hungry, they never ate at Varric's either, did they?

This is really interesting so far! I like the ways you have fit the companions into this AU. The one critique I have is Fenris' speech. You have included lines from the game in which he uses a formal style of speaking, but whem he says things you've written, such as him talking about getting a ride from Hawke, he sounds very different and informal, using short words, contractions such as I'm and didn't, and a friendly/casual style. It doesn't really sound much like him. I think you might consider choosing one style and staying consistent with it. Since he's supposed to be foreign here, and you are keeping his personality and looks and style of dress very similar to canon, I would keep his speech as close to the style he uses in the game as possible.

I have to say, I like that story :) I laughed at lot - it's really fun how your Hawke is talking to herself sometimes. And I like the way you describe Fenris - absolutely irresistible. But beeing at Chapter 21 now, I start feeling like I'm reading something about an 16 year old - not an 25 year old young woman. Not just because there was about 5 times kissing during all those 21 chapters, but also Hawke's insecurity which is sometimes rediculous. It's a kind of Bella and Edward in the modern Dragon Age Universe imo. Don't get me wrong, I really like your story! And it is absolutely cute reading about them. It just don't fits their age.
I love how you transferred the characters of Hawke's followers to people in our time and the storyline in our time with all those links to the Dragon Age world - without beeing Dragon Age at all :)

I just finished reading this story, it's absolutely wonderful! I haven't reviewed the previous chapters because I tend to finish a story then read it, and wow, when I first saw the amount of chapters I was like - this is gonna drain me haha - but I didn't doubt it'd be good, which it was, utterly amazing! You kept the storyline almost absolutely perfect to DA2 and still modernised it! And such a transition to!

I must say best DA Story on here I've read. Hands down. Definite favourite and I look forward to more of your work in the future.

I have checked on this story a couple of times and was like, 'is it done? It doesn't say complete, but...?'

I am so glad you updated and finished it. And on such a beautiful note too! This chapter was funny and I still love the relationships between the characters. Fenris' speech at the end about putting his love into words was amazing. I am glad he said them though because he realized what those three words do to people when he heard Marian tell him.

I am also glad he found out everything from his past and Varania had no chance to betray him. Love this story, love this chapter, sad it is done, yet pleased with the ending. Thank you!

I think there should have been more sexual details. Read some Kresley Cole. She's a master of sex scenes _
