Well, this was a nice change, especially after reading so many of LFU's stories. (I have nothing against LFU, it's just her portrayal of Saena is the polar opposite of this.) Really amazing!

Each author can put whatever spin they want on each character and it is nice to see someone do so with a character that is, across the board, normally hated. I can appreciate your effort even if I disagree with the interpretation (but then, I give more credit to Sho in some of my stories than other writers so who am I to quibble). Personally, I feel that being a parent carries a responsibility that does not include creating a mental health issue in ones child related to a perfection complex, abandoning her with another family with no explanation, and having no contact for many years. I did like the image you created of the sorrowful woman who regrets. The tear track down her hollowed cheek was beautifully descriptive.

My god, I'm so sick of fics shining her as this complete and utter (insert the word for a female dog here). We don't even know anything about here; except that she was hard on Kyoko and left her at an inn. She might not even be her real mum for all we know.
