The blinkered Annie, trying so hard to believe everything was fine, George suspecting, but not wanting to believe his friend could create such murder and mayhem, despite the fact that they've always known he was a vampire...And Annie so sure in her opinion now, George less certain, still wanting to understand his friend...very believable. x

Have read ch1&2 together and I really like the way you are filling the space where we should have seen just how did George know about the Box Tunnel and how Annie would react. Your Annie’s reaction is completely in keeping and George’s helpless sense of life happening around him is also very real to the George we know.

Poor George. Time for him to pull the blinkers off, stop not seeing what's in front of his nose, and man up a bit. And how sad the way he ended up having to do it. :(

Beautifully put. Completely understandable reactions from the characters, blinding themselves to the consequences of their own actions, and not understanding how they affected Mitchell's own path to being staked. :)

And once again George is left in a hospital waiting room, worrying about someone he loves. I thought your depiction of George here was absolutely heart-breaking. It fits in really well as a 'missing scene'. V sad :(

Bleah, I hated the storyline from Tobey as implying Mitchell did anything but save everyone's asses all the time but they were too self serving and self righteous and self pitying. Mitchell should've left them to die with the Jesus freaks in series 2 based on the show canon I was forced fed by Whithouse. No fanfic supporting it or expanding it can make palatable for me.

I love that you're filling in some of the intriguing gaps we were left with, and your story is completely grounded in what could have been. Good question, Annie! I hope there's more because it made me feel all emotional again. Thanks :)

Oh this was very nicely done and so plausible. Annie's rage was heartbreaking, her sweet heart shattered into a million bits. Poor George, his best friend is indeed gone.

Beautiful little filler story! Definitely broke my heart in a bunch of ways, but very lovely and very well written. Thanks for this!
