I loved this story. Superb medical information, medical procedures, legal procedures, and plot flow. I was glued to the screen and enjoying a logical and sensible investigation that fully followed the rules of logic as well as modern semantics. I deeply appreciate the work put into this, as well as the characterization (no tears, begging, heartfelt confessions) as well as ambiguity (which is an art, and takes skill to leave so much interpretation up to the reader). Bravo!

Riya Morut chapter 8 . 4/21/2013
Thank you for a thrilling story! A few things I really enjoyed:

-mortalperil!Sherlock. Call me a sadist, but I do love to see tortured heroes. Watching John stay by Sherlock's side and hold his hand through the ordeal actually made me tear up a little; I don't know if anyone would do that for me, if I ended up in a similar situation. Sherlock's frustration with the hospital was so evident, and Sarah's insistence that he use the spirometer and eat grapes was very endearing. I cannot imagine Sherlock being a good patient!

-Sarah gets a lot of flack, but you made her a delightful character, ugly handbag and all. Even though I know someday Mary Morstan will arrive on the scene, I was sad to see Sarah go, and I'm glad you gave her some more time in the limelight.

-Everyone was in character, and that is a rarity in Sherlock fanfiction. Thank you for the pains you obviously took to make sure this happened!

-You took a crime and placed it in John's area of expertise, and I loved watching him in action. When I watch the show he seems to turn into someone else when he becomes "Dr. Watson," someone much more sure of himself and of his abilities. It was nice to see that come to the forefront.

-Your medical jargon was believable and made the story much more real, even though (and probably because) I couldn't understand half of it. The great thing about this fandom is that we are not afraid of big words, so thank you for not coddling us.

-We got to see Lestrade in action. That silver fox doesn't get enough credit! Watching him mobilize his forces helps understand why he is a DI, and a good one at that.

-You gave us a sympathetic Donovan! Even though she's... well... not a nice person, I quite like her character, and I appreciated the chance to watch her chase down a criminal. I feel she's another person who doesn't get enough credit.

Thanks again for a terrific read. Many kudos for you!

Hmm. Perhaps I could get into cooking if I looked at it as "applied chemistry!" Very thoughtful of Sherlock, and his reaction was in character, too. I also loved the last sentence: "Sherlock deleted it, turned on his heel so that his coat would swing, and left the surgery." He certainly doe have a flair for the dramatic! Great chapter; I like where this is going.
Riya Morut chapter 1 . 4/21/2013
I must say, John is entirely too excited about flu shots.

This looks like an excellent start. Everyone is on character, you've set the stage for an interesting crime, and I greatly appreciate the lack of grammatical errors. Kudos!

Wow. This was incredible. I'm blown away by your level of research ... the cases and the medical knowledge ... it was so impressive! It made me think I was watching a real live CSI/medical drama, that's how good it was. I must ask ... are you a chemistry graduate or a medical person yourself? Again, this was truly amazing to read ... thanks for writing!
Lady Sam Mallory chapter 8 . 6/30/2012
This is a phenomenal story that I enjoyed immensely. Well thought out and well written. It was a pleasure to read and I stayed up into the wee hours doing just that. You may want to change the listing to complete just so that people know that it is actually finished. I almost missed it for that very reason.

Thank you for the wonderful read.

Have a great week.

rapalacha chapter 8 . 3/6/2012
Great story. Really enjoyed reading. Maybe just a smalll thing - How did noone noticed there were flu deaths only in 2 places around London? Someone would most deffinitely notice it...
Shadow of Flame chapter 8 . 12/27/2011
Nice job. Good plot, good character interactions. We didn't see much of cruel Sherlock, but then again, he's really only cruel to Anderson. It was good to see John have a chance to be brilliant. There was a lack of Mycroft, I mean, his brother's just been attacked, you'd think he'd respond more than just that text message, and then was almost forgot about it seemed. But again, nice job.
