I always wondered that myself, and this reminds me of the tv show The Good Wife (which is amazing).

Loved when he touched her scar, the symbolism of what worse he's had was clear as day, it was beautifully written.

These snippets are amazing, and I love the way you write.

This could very well have been the events that occurred in between Season 1 and Season 2. I always wished they'd given more time to Nikita and Michael hiding out on their own, sans Birkhoff. I wonder what that would've been like. I love Birkhoff, but there's something about these two on the run, improvising, relying exclusively on each other for survival, that's intriguing and quite romantic. Maybe you can write more of the same in one of your drabbles. Looking forward to the rest of november :-) thank you for this!
