How about Amy and Rory call the Doctor because he got distracted by fezs and bowties, or something like that, and ended up accidentally leaving them on a planet in a dangerous situation. | HDM.rox chapter 8 . 8/18/2012 I loved basically all the instalments, except for this one. Don't get me wrong, you've captured the 11th Doctor's voice pretty much perfectly, but he rambles a lot less in this one than in the other chapters (or at least in other examples of 11's dialogue). Either way, I love the lighthearted, in-character humour of this fic, and the versatility of its concept. I *do* have a suggestion. Maybe the timelines get all mixed up (all the MCs *are* time travellers), and clips of different answer messages get all mixed up in a funny way. So like, the Doctor calls Amy to talk about River some time in the distant future (from Amy's POV), which gets intercut by him calling about the fish fingers running out (complete with background dialogue by Amy herself) - which Amy clearly remembers happening, and so on. also maybe incorporate Jack Harkness? That would be awesome. Something about a malfunctioning defabricator? :P |
