Utterly lovely I have to say. Love how you carried on with that earlier scene about her hair. Oh, how you feel Matthew's surprise and excitement in the knowledge that Mary was still in love with him, and how he came to finally acknowledge he was still in love with her. Thanks to Granny (eternally) for letting Matthew know what he needed to know. Too bad Lavinia had come back into the picture. Darn that Carlisle!

I do wish it had happened this way.

Awwwww so cute! I adore Mary and Matthew - the Christmas special just can't come quickly enough! Very well written; the dialogue was exactly right, I could hear their voices as I was reading it! Excellent job :D

Oddly enough, I think my favorite part of this fic is right here:

"Oh, God. He was in love with her."

I can hear the thought in his head (to the same tones as "Oh God, I think I'm going to be sick."). Not that the thought of her loving him makes him sick, but ... well, I don't know if I can really explain why this was delightful to me :)

I also love how Matthew has to specifically ask Mary whether she's in love with him. I'm of the opinion that she simply can't say it right out. I think all she would be able to manage would be a nod of the head, a "yes" or a kiss (preferably all together and in that order :)).

NAUGHTY! In the best way possible :) This was so like what I was imagining the scene would be that I almost feel as if I've actually SEEN it.. gorgeous, evocative writing as usual, hotter than usual if possible, and for some reason, I really want a sequel. :)

Ok, I've had an embargo on FF because the angst is killing me on the show and I think FF would only make it worse.

However, when I heard Wheelchair in this, I had to read it. Ugh. It's so good and what I wish would happen. And the dress she has on! I love that dress so of course Matthew would be all operational if you get my meaning!
