I suggest you do some research in future if you plan to continue writing fanfiction or even published work. Maura does not work for Sean Cavanaugh or anyone else in Boston Police Department. The Chief medical examiner (Maura) is employed by the Governor of the commonwealth of Massachusetts and its only the Governor that has the authority to hire or fire the Chief Medical Examiner. I think this belief that Sean Cavanaugh is also Maura's boss is because in the tv show they have her working in the same building as Jane but this is yet another mistake that the show creators have made. If the show was realistic then Maura would be working in her own department building not the same one as Jane. I believe they did this in order perhaps to create the working and thus personal relationship between the ladies. FYI The office of the chief medical examiner is on Albany Street and Boston Homicide Unit is on Sudbury Street. They are about 12 minutes apart traveling in a car according to google :)

I've been enjoying this fun story immensely. I feel I must point out to you though your mistaken belief that LT Cavanaugh has any say in appointing the medical examiner. He is a police officer only. He is not Maura's superior which a lot of fan fiction writers seem to believe. He cannot hire or fire her or any other medical examiner only the governor has the authority to do that. Maura's only connection to Cavanaugh is that they work in the same building. Don't take this as a critical review because this story is great and lots of fun to read.

I was enjoying this story until I read this chapter. You fanfiction writers need to understand one thing about Maura and Cavanaugh and their working professional relationship. SEAN CAVANAUGH IS NOT MAURA ISLES BOSS AND HAS NO AUTHORITY OVER HER WHATSOEVER. She is the chief ME of the commonwealth so her only boss is the Governor. I am not from the usa but even I understand that and that was before it was even brought up in the episode where they killed off Suzie Chang and Maura was suspended BY THE GOVERNOR and not someone from the police department. I know at the end of the day its only fanfiction but I think its important to get things right.

It was a perfect ending...I loved this story. I hope you do one where Maura is teaching and showing Jane All the pleasure that comes from hot sex, positions and the use of toys. Jane is always the one reserved about sex, would be fun to see the tables turned and have Jane be dominated by Maura.
