This is an amazing fanfic. I love that it's about the states and possible ones. I wish you could continue it but it co that you had an outline of where you were going to take it. Many fanfic just cut off and are never picked back up so you can't tell what would happen next.

I'm sad that this fic was discontinued, it is one of the better state fics out there. I think your characterizations were spot on and I can see you put a lot of effort in it. As a Texan, I think your version of him was accurate, some versions of Texas are cringe worthy at best. They're almost as bad as Alaska or Hawaii xD It's too bad there wasn't more reviews for this. However Im glad you posted the outline of the rest of the story to give readers a general idea of what the rest of the story would have looked like instead of ending it abruptly :) Listenerofshadows

Well, I'm sorry that you abandoned this fic-it was really good! There aren't many fanfics out there with Missouri in them that I've found, and that's actually why I started reading this one. (Yes, I'm from Missouri; St. Louis, to be exact, and yes, I've inherited the "Cardinals are better than the Cubs" mentality. *shrugs*) Anyway, maybe someday you'll come back to this and finish it?

I'm from nacogdoches and it is a very small town not small enough that everyone knows each other but still small. A little info about Nacogdoches TX downtown is paved with red brick, every year there is a blueberry festival and on Halloween there is scare on the square, it is a collage town the collage being Stevan F. Austin State University it's mascot is a lumber jack I hope you learned something

This was a really great story. I with I had found this sooner. This is actually the best state story that I had read, the including of Hawaii and the C.S.A. was a great idea that would have been a wonderful addition tho the story line. Thank you for not doing letting this and instead just posting an outline, for that I am thankful. After reading this I was severely confused as to why on earth you hadn't more reviews, this is absolutely wonderful and very well thought out. Your story and research is very much appreciated. I liked it but I wished you would add in America himself. But you did a great job.

A full list of wanna-bes and their locations (as well as two micronations to watch out for)

Jefferson: Besides the one in Texas, a second Jefferson exists. This one, if formed, would take parts of Oregon and California.

Cascadia: Oregon's other wanna-be. Shared with Washington and sometimes Idaho.

Deseret: The King Kong of wanna-bes. Before becoming states themselves, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho and Wyoming all were part of a proto-state, Deseret. In fact, there are to this day plans for Deseret.

Franklin: Actually WAS a state at one point, and otherwise known as easternmost Tennessee.

Superior: The least worrisome wanna-be. I should know... Upper Peninsula wants to split from me, and Superior would be his new name. He's in talks with Wisconsin and Minnesota for support... and actual population.

Long Island/Manhattan: If any wanna-be would be the leader, this is it. New York City has had a lot of talk about splitting from the rest of New York, and most of Long Island agrees with the idea...

Independent Long Island (ILA) ... is the only thing preventing this from being a real possibility. As long as this micronation exists, NYC won't split.

The Conch Republic: Worse than Sealand. Only micronation to succeed in annexation (a no-longer-connected-to-the-mainland bridge in 1995). Otherwise known as the Florida Keys. I'd watch out for him.

Houston: The mastermind behind the wanna-bes in Texas. Texas' Constitution allows for the state to split into as many as five other states, and if this happened, the Houston area is the most likely to use this.

Puerto Rico: Only wanna-be we can trust. Little PR is holding a vote on the issue of Statehood this August. He could be a wonderful double-agent for us.

It's too bad when these things happen, but you have to do what you feel is right for you personally and for your work overall. This Missouri gal LOVES this fic! I don't mind not having a whole lot of description of characters right away. I think some authors can successfully incorporate their character's descriptions into the action and with other authors, it's kind of off-putting for them to basically stop the action to add in a lot of physical details that we could easily pick up as the story goes along. Anyway, I really look forward to more of this! :D
