Reviews for Never
Some guy chapter 1 . 8/23/2014
I like this. I kind of felt bad for Marianne for most of the movie just because of the way she was, I mean when you are raised in such a religious home you don't really have too many options on how you turn out. You either: 1. Average out to be normal. 2. Rebel. 3. Become a bible thumping whack job.

Nice job, a little out there, but I liked it nonetheless. AHH I really liked your writing style! A lot!
Guest chapter 1 . 7/8/2012
Very interesting take. Well done and fesable, even if it had never occurred to me while watching. I don't think it's completely out of character...good job.
Insane in the membrane chapter 1 . 6/22/2012
Wow, this is really REALLY good. Too bad you could write a sequel to this. A story where she appologizes to Olive, begs for her forgiveness and at some point down the road works up the courage to tell Olive how she feels, but knowing how Olive is straight also tells her that all she wants is to be her friend, the friend she knows she should have been the one that Olive deserves.

As for THIS story well I personally don't think it is at all out of character. I used to be a lot like this girl myself until I finally walked a few miles in the real world, so I can honestly see Marianne being humbled and learning from Olive's webcast.

Nice work.

You did a fantastic job. I loved the self-deprication and humility you wrote Marianne to posses. This was short, but definately puissant. :D
Guest chapter 1 . 10/27/2011
What? Someone else likes this pairing :D YAYAYAY! You captured this well, and I like the adding of the slap. And yeah. This was short and sweet. I enjoy it.
SilverTurtle chapter 1 . 10/27/2011
Oh, ouch. This definitely makes Marianne a more sympathetic character. I could see her being secretly in love with Olive as the motivation behind her actions.

I could also see that revelation turning her world upside down, she'd take a long time to recover from that and reconcile herself with her faith, her identity, and her approach to the world at large. A good start then for her to apologize to Olive who, if nothing else, would be a good friend to have around while she muddles through all those issues.
Miguel51 chapter 1 . 10/26/2011
Well, a little bit out of character, but still enjoyable. Poor Marianne, never being able to express herself to Olive. And add in the fact that she's also just realized something about herself so profoundly against her beliefs, the girl has it tough. It'd be interesting to see a follow up to this later on in her life where Marianne is an out and proud lesbian AND still have her strong belief in God. All in all, a great fic. Good job, Patricia.

PS- Also, the image of Olive (Emma Stone) and Marianne (Amanda Bynes) as an onscreen couple is far from a bad one. Actually...as a great man once said, 'I'll be in my bunk.'
