This was a bittersweet ending. I would have loved if they could work out but it wasn’t possible. I love how in the end he gave her his “ring” and that they made love for the first time and the last time. Very well written and thought out. Thank you!

Oh my... this story is going to haunt me now. It’s a perfect marriage of the myth and potterverse and the way that you’ve written to fit canon makes this story all the more brilliant, and devastatingly heartbreaking. But really there is no other end for this relationship because how can you have a future with the god of death no matter how much he speaks to your soul.
Your characterisation is so perfect throughout- the stand out moments though are when they just talk, honestly acknowledging how shit her friends can be, and in that final chapter each of their anger at how their experiences were instrumentalised by Ron and then Harry, and the wrenching conversation about why despite everything she’ll go back to Ron.
I found this story after reading Renaissance on livejournal and both stories are just profoundly moving.

Beautiful, so poignant and so lovely. I can't favorite this story because it makes me so furious that Hermione and Draco didn't end up together, but it explains everything so well-why Draco married Astoria, why Hermione forgave Ron. It never sat quite right with me that she'd forgive Ron for everything he's done and for just being stupid in general, but this story offers a wonderful theory as to why. The characterizations are also done masterfully; I can really see Hermione and Draco acting this way! All in all, this is a beautiful piece and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated it!

This is, honestly, the only way I see that epilogue realistically playing out, and Ron and Hermione ever ending up together. Your Draco is uber realistic, but still absolutely lovable and I loved that about this story. In fact I love this story, period. It's utterly breathtaking and heartbreaking, and thank you so much for sharing it.
