Rizwan fariz chapter 7 . 5/15/2014
This fanfic is highly dissadvantageous to the imperium everything u do the terrans win and the warhammar lose such as mind-controling,destroying stuff with minds, make an civilian board their ship, using their tech, reverse engineering them and lastly making tyranids lose to i simply hate both know that these are lies that the imperium should emerge victorius between tyranids will simply crush zergs until the zergs simply give they simply have no right whatsoever to steal imperium weapons.U r just cheating just because the terrans r the main characters here.
Rizwan fariz chapter 7 . 5/15/2014
Hey buddy what the fuck is wrong with u tyranid getting assimilated by zergs?as well as having all their advantages ripped away from them?thats unlikely to the fuck were u thinking making the spectre control beastmen, ogryns, and ratling and hoping to give baneblades to them as well as making the spectre so overpowered than he really is?
Xenophiliac Mac chapter 16 . 11/21/2013
I think this is a much better idea, definitely excited for it.
Blinded in a bolthole chapter 2 . 9/21/2013
The narration style kinda reminds me of Ravenor series.

- While a W40K fan, I don't think the Zerg were so small a threat as to be called an ant infestation. Sure, they would have squashed the swarm with all the brutality of exterminatus before it could become a major player (if it was within populated areas of the Imperium where slowness of Administeratum does not ruin everything).

Otherwise... yeah. Terran Marines might have powered armors (which are more on Power than Armor) but as an army they got very little over Guard (and that's having flyers of their own rather than Navy detachments).

- Isn't the Queen of Blade an Eleven in the psi rating? Or was it eleven-plus? To lift a battle-tank with your mind alone is equal with Psy rating of 8 as far as I can tell ( Alpha-class Psykers, even the weakest have Psy-rating of 14 and Daemon-Prince grade willpower to go with it... kinda like QoB herself).

- Good job.

Elbrasch chapter 16 . 9/10/2013
Oh come on, the part where he becomes the Overmind is the best part, if you consider WH40k context then he isn't even overpowered, but only in the middle of the food chain of wh40k :)
Will read the chapter tomorrow, now i am heading to bed. But if he is even more of a witty asshole, then i am sure it will be entertaining, too.
Kit chapter 15 . 9/9/2013
I am finally reveiwing this after a couple months putting it off, and I just want o say you've got my debaiting feelings up. Now first things first, I like the idea behind this story and can respect that. However there are some things I didn't like, the imersion into the story for me was one of the main problems. You lost me in around chapters 9 and 14. It was much better at the begining and around chapter 11. Some of the reason for this is the author notes. You said that in a long term ingagement the Zerg would win over the tyranids by statin that the tyranids don't evolve new species while the Zerg do, this is wrong. One exaple is the tyrant guard, and they don't evolve new species because they don't need to. The tyranids creatures are incredibly adaptable and resistant. Why else do you think they are using them after several galixies worth of conquest? Now for the spies you said were in the fleet, everyone of importance is screened regularly to make sure they aren't turning to chaos and it would be har to avoid getting caught. Also th way you had you story written in the chapters around 9 and 14 had me confused. I didn't see a group o refugees fleein the law, I saw a group of people who wanted to take over the planet. The fighting you had them do was agressive, not defensive. The responce was also not typical, sending three ships of the fleet when the rest of the fleet don't have anything else to do? That admiral must have been drunk, high, and feeling I'll when he made tht desision. And the way they faught was off too. Destroyers have sheilds as well as strike cruisers and they are mainly built to fire torpedos from a looooooonnngg distance away while the enemy can't fire back. You also left us waiting on the escape pods, it wa a cliffhanger that wasn't answered. And I would also like to know how Sven can open a doorway through th warp when there is no way for him to know where he's going and the warp leaves a space around him? Sorry if this seems like a flame, that is not what I intended. You just got my debating persanallity rilled up.

Hiei-Uchiha chapter 9 . 5/17/2013
I really like your story and am now just reading it, still, with this chapter, I do have to note some things, as I GM quite a bit of Fantasy Flight, which produces Warhammer 40k rp books. Your portrayal of the Rogue Trader seems vaguely off, even one who has in's on the Starcraft Universe, which I will admit I am not super knowledgeable about. Rogue Trading Dynasties can span anywhere from centuries to millenia to a single individual own a Warrant of Trade. Typically any Warrant of Trade is quite a big deal, though those personally gifted to a Dynasty by the God Emperor himself would be rare to the extreme, those Dynasties are most likely some of the most powerful in the Imperium, with the temporal, political, economic and military power to equal a High Lord of Terra. As for access with civilized peoples, yes, The Warrant has some power in Imperium space, but it's most effective use when you are on the fringes of the Imperium, as you are establishing His Will, taming the wilds in His Name, as such you are the sole executioner of that will in whatever manner you see fit. Sorry if it seems like I am going into a tangent, but I love the mention of stuff like Rogue Traders, as it is in my opinion a great to nod to the work of the guys who do the lines for fantasy flight and I like to see their stuff and games workshop represented properly, even in fan fiction. Lol, still, that doesn't mean I don't like your story, I am totally liking what i am reading so far, and probably late to the party in writing this review, still it is stuff I thought needed to be said, lol, here's to seeing whether my observations were made by anyone else and seeing how this excellent story continues.
starspawn07 chapter 15 . 5/12/2013
Once again, very elegant writing.
No overflowing list of new evolutions or battle reports (which some Zerg cross-overs tend to devolve into),
but enough innovations and action to make it very refreshing.

Also, the way Sven narrates makes the story feel alive.
e.g. that moment when Atlas flew out to engage the Astartes cruisers in ch14,
I could feel for a moment the same excitement that the Overmind was feeling.

Take your time, but please update :)
starspawn07 chapter 4 . 5/11/2013
So far, very elegant writing :)
No overly lengthy descriptions/monologues on the one hand, and few confusing gaps on the other.
Keep that up !

About Forget The Rest's review: he/she is upset that Sven is overpowered, and that you're weakening WH40K too much. Imo those are not problems. Even within their respective universes, WH40K and SC are inconsistent and unrealistic when it comes to feats and powers. So why be attached to a specific preconception of "who can do what..." when reading a cross-over? :)

To me the main problem so far is that the process of finding information is passed over too fast.
One moment the protagonists are wondering where they are, the next moment you're using WH40K-related terms as if the characters should already know them.
A big part of what makes a cross-over like this interesting is trying to fit in and getting one's bearings.
Even if the protagonists are super telepaths, I feel that part of the story should not be ignored :/
(This is probably also one main reason why some reviews call your main character a May Sue. He seems to know whatever he needs to know whenever he needs it. Some potential tension is lost.)

That said, this is just Chapter 4. I'll likely review again when I've finished reading the latest chapter.
Meanwhile, all the best and keep the good stuff coming :)
