Welisarne chapter 60 . 7/13 This is great, can't wait for the next update |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 60 . 6/25 What a chapter ... poor Karen, poor other Karen, and poor Mitchael. I’d love to see other Karen get to confront David someday ... he really deserves to have the consequences of his evil shoved down his throat until he chokes. |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 57 . 6/25 I just LOVE Courtney Patrick! And why must everyone accuse the elder of robbing the cradle? Often enough, it’s the younger robbing the grave! ;-) |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 54 . 6/25 Although Titus Andronicus is my favourite Shakespeare play by far (probably because it reads more like Kit Marlowe than William), The Scottish Play is PERFECT here! Is the Valley of Fire a real place? It sounds gorgeous! |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 53 . 6/25 I love the inclusion of Karen’s mother’s photograph - my own husband’s mother and father passed away over a decade before we got married, and we had their photographs at the wedding and reception so they could “be there” for their son’s big day. My parents actually had his parents’ wedding portrait from the early 1940s professionally restored, and it was given a place of honour. It meant so much to him that he cried. So this part of the story really struck a beautiful chord with me. |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 50 . 6/25 One thing I find very interesting is that MM refrained from killing people for 19 years prior to getting together with Karen, and she was not yet born then. It’s almost as if Fate was preparing him for something, and preventing him from getting plunked back in the mental hospital ... |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 49 . 6/25 I think the name change, whilst startling, is very fitting. Michael Myers, the infamous Haddonfield Boogeyman, cannot live there and marry a cop’s daughter if either of them wants a normal life ... plus, after the ritual of exchange, he’s a different man, in so many ways. His eyes are no longer pitch black. He’s been experiencing so many emotions and thinking thoughts Michael Myers probably never would/could but for his soul being connected with Karen’s. Michael/the Boogeyman still exists, but it’s almost a situation of two beings, one far more human than the other, existing within one body. |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 48 . 6/25 The ritual of exchange is absolutely incredible - such a perfect way to seal the bond between these two particular characters who are so touched by the supernatural, and insanely creative. I’m imagining this in a film, and it would be INTENSE. Terrifying yet beautiful. |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 44 . 6/25 Interesting how Michael’s body is reacting to intimacy this time ... |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 13 . 6/24 The fact that David calls raping his little daughter at age 8 a “tryst” gave me shivers - really brilliant way of showing just what a monster he is (as if that were not already totally obvious) with one word. *shudders* |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 12 . 6/24 Is Hekman’s horrifyingly cold response to Karen’s plight due to the woman fearing Karen’s father and the potential of reprisals from the police? That’s all I could figure, as her whole demeanour changed when the child confessed who had assaulted her. |
Alanastra Ofnadwen chapter 11 . 6/24 The line about Karen’s father depriving Michael of the rôle of Boogeyman in her life is particularly fascinating. It makes me wonder what Michael would have been to her had he not stayed away and had her father’s abuse perhaps been “limited” to psychological during her childhood ... dear gods, I cannot wait for that douchekebab to get what he deserves. |
SarahC1985 chapter 37 . 6/24 Wow. That was brave. Literally a deal with the devil... In to the unknown! David Miller is really messed up... Love the suspense. |
SarahC1985 chapter 36 . 6/24 Hmm, not the most romantic date... Lol. I agree with DAwn in the next chapter. Can't they just exercise self-control? lol |
Catclaw83 chapter 50 . 6/23 Holy crap on a cracker! I was going to say that the intimacy between Karen and Michael is definitely getting more intense and then bam! Now I see why! Wow! Talk about true soulmates! And the identity change...I did not see that one coming, though it makes perfect sense, especially the way Michael explained it. I'm glad Dawn and Markus are making strides in their relationship. I did like Markus's comment about salads...that made me laugh. I know I skipped some parts in this review, so I might go back and review some chapters on their own later on...so much is happening now, lol. But great job as always! |
