Reviews for Look'd Up In Perfect Silence At the Stars
Frakking Toasters chapter 1 . 9/4/2014
I always understood the sentiment, but Sam couldn't make his mental health issues magically better just because Dean (angrily) told him to. Even if the anger is borne out of concern. Just doesn't work that way.
You write these complex issues between these characters brilliantly. xo

Alright, another amazing story. This was so well done and so believable. Sorry, I'm stalking your profile a little (not sorry- you're awesome).

AuthoressCrest chapter 1 . 1/22/2012
Okay so you are officially my favorite Sam and Luci writer. You have their characters down to a tee and the way you write them is just amazing. Wonderful little snippet into those 3 missing weeks!
Dionaea Canis chapter 1 . 12/21/2011
Oh, as with that more recent story I reviewed, I appreciate you writing this. The self-harm had to evolve, to intensify, I believe, since they first introduced it in the show. The mind is resilient, and Sams experienced so much more, much worse in Hell, whether or not it was real. And I believe it would have to be self-harm now, that touch of masochism, because after more than a century and a half of that life, I beleive that's what Sam would have to become. I liked the concept of the burning too, because ironic or not, its always seemed crude to me, because, as you described, you have to hold yourself there, to force yourself to stay long enough for the pain to come. Nothing like the fast slice of a blade, and I think by incorporating that burning you showed how much Sam is used to this, in a sense, and how he can push himself that far so soon into this self-harm. I found the manner in which the show presented the burning, the fire, was rather crude, simple, and uninteresting. As you've presented it here, however, I quite appreciate and believe in it.

I also appreciated those little persuasions by Lucifer, that little touch of his presence, his encouragement, but then having Sam do the harming himself. I appreciate you having wrote this story, and I believe you've expanded on what the show didn't bother or dare to, and I like how you've done it. So, thanks for writing and posting this story, and giving me the chance to read it. Once again, I'll leep an eye out for potential new stories.
SammysTeam chapter 1 . 12/3/2011
Ohhhh, GOD I wish it would be like this in the show! ;D That would sure bring out the protective big brother I've been missing. LOL
Jane88 chapter 1 . 10/16/2011
Oh I'd love to read more of that. :) Very well done! I think it's obvious that Sam still tries to use pain to stop his hallucinations. But his hand is healed, so I wondered if he'd start to get other (stupid!) ideas. Maybe they'll do something like this on the show... I love how Dean noticed that Sam's harming himself and wants Sam to talk to him instead. Amazing, loved it, thanks a lot!
Mm chapter 1 . 10/15/2011
Great, I'd love to see something like that in the show too!
Emmers224 chapter 1 . 10/15/2011
Loved it! I strongly suspect Sam's been using pain to control the hallucinations and this latest episode with Sam digging his thumb into his hand proves it. Very nicely done! I loved Dean's insistence that Sam talk to him, do anything but hurt himself. Very sweet and awesomely done.
zekeschance chapter 1 . 10/15/2011

SupernaturallyEgocentric chapter 1 . 10/15/2011
Very, very good escalation. Wonder if they'll take this route on the show!
UpstairsMind chapter 1 . 10/15/2011

The Mome Raths Outgrabe chapter 1 . 10/15/2011
I was waiting for someone to do this story Sam using self-injury as a way of coping and I must say you didn't disappoint the only complaint I have is that I wish it had been longer that he could have hid it for longer but it was pretty great as it was.
