You should really get a beta and do a rewrite. The 4th of July is an holiday celebrating the USAs independence from British rule. So why would that even be a saying Hermione, a British citizen, would even care enough about. Furthermore, why would she expect anyone else in Britain to know? Do you know all the holidays from every country, I don't think so.
Hermione wouldn't be worried about what she will do after OWLS, since she is a 7th year and OWLS are the 5th year exams. She will worry about what to do after NEWTS.
