Hi, just wondering if you were going to put up a sequel? This is an amazing story and I'd love to read more!

This is like an endless tale of extreme abuse. I thought this would be a time-travel tale.

I've enjoyed your story, even with the theme, at first, being a tad dark and sad. I have some questions...
Who was the woman who wanted Dumbles to eradicate the Potter line?
Why didn't Harry's magic attack the Dursleys? Was it because they didn't use magic to hurt him? - That still seems wrong, somehow, since that magical entity seemed bent on protection.
With all the close scrutiny from medicals, how did no one find the soul leach? Or are there no horcruxes in this HP world?
I know I am late to the party, but you promised a sequel and then your computer died. It's been eight years. Did the computer kill your muse too? It would be great if you posted those chapters that had already been written. But, I am pushing because it is a good story that, at first, I was leery of - but found that I really liked.
I hope that your 'real-life' will give you some time to come back. Your story is interesting and intriguing. Thanx :)

You've got me, I've no clue as to who is writing the 'Harry' stories. I've read some FF that have Dumbles writing them, some with Lockhart, and some with team Lockhart/Skeeter. Well, onward and upward!

Thanks for this interestingly different story. I think i started it once before but couldn't stomach the first three chapters and having read the whole thing now, having skimmed ch 1-3, i have to say that i don't think you needed to dwell on the details of the awful abuse. I have looked for the sequel but its not up yet. i hope you do complete it as it would be nice to see harry well again and the baddies getting their just deserts, speaking of which, I'll never understand why peter pettigrew usually gets the veil in most stories while lucius malfoy, the lestanges etc are sent to azkeban when they have murdered and tortured many people. I noticed you said that you were working on a re-write of this and the sequel so i'd like to make a couple of comments on aspects of the story. I think it was a shame to kill off lupin as he would make a good tutor for harry and source of stories of his parents, he could still be attacked but survive, after all he was DADA teacher in canon and had mastered the patronus. I felt it unrealistic for Dumbles to succeed in locking away sirius when there were so many people on sirius' case - trevor, bones, longbottom, the healers etc. Sirius always adds liveliness to any story (i'm showing my bias here). I missed Lettie as the story progressed as she faded into the background and trevor came to the fore. You had painted such a vivid picture of her at the beginning and she seemed so essential to harry, yet all his later interactions were with trevor. I felt i didn't see trevor clearly as the story progressed so i think a bit of introspection was needed to help us understand him better. I wanted to know how much money had been lost from the potter fortune through Dumbles' actions and just how big the fortunes was in the first place. It must have been vast for trevor to afford his own private army. That all seemed a bit over the top, And the 6 bedroom farmhouse somehow turned into a potter manor with huge ballroom, formal dining room, informal dining room, family room by the end of the story. I thought a neat solution i read in one story was having one home that was used for all business and entertaining with the only floo link to the real (modest) home which is under the fidelius. Everyone thinks you live in the first home but you really live elsewhere. No army required. I couldn't help thinking that despite this vast army of bodyguards, harry ended up being kidnapped by malfoy and accosted by lockhart, pretty much a waste of money really. Having said that i really enjoyed the small group of goblin guards and harry's love of spicy goblin food. The goblins presents were amazing. PS Can i put in a request for harry NOT to attend hogwarts. Frankly i hate the place and it provides such a poor education and all round experience. I'd like to see him home schooled with others or going to another school which also teaches non magical subjects, so harry can live in the non magical world if he wishes to get away from all the adulation. I'm off now to work my way through all your other stories.

How come lucius wasn't thrown in prison for attempted line theft? I thought that was a big deal to wizards.

Oohhhhhh so Albus isn't just or actually crazy then? He's just the master puppet of a Puppet-Master. Wonder who it is? Also...with how competent EVERYONE is supposed to be I find it hard to believe that NO ONE notices that Harry experienced something called a bad omen with a magical flux and that the goblin(s) that did notice(and is a someone) would fail to bring it up to the others. But maaaaaaaannnnn this story was a trip. That warning was well warranted. I'm faving this.

Really Molly? The Harry Potter being a social outcast when his life story is now known to the public and he's still just as famous if not more so than before? If anything I'd expect having goblin guards and muggle to muggleborn tutors to become a trend once it's shown how effective to be for Harry Potter. And why does she think the things said about Lockhart and Dumbledore are lies when she previously acknowledged in her own home that Albus fucked up?
But awwwww Harry is throwing his 1st party. Is there gonna be a Potter Elementary school in that tree house?
