Wonderful stories. Very talented. Loved the Austen references

It's taken me awhile to begin reading this fic, I was so heartbroken with The Varying Shades of Peonies. But, I am trusting there will be Chair happiness in this one even though these first 3 chapters have been angst filled. Ugh, am I being a masochist?

You're a beautiful, fantastic, ethereal writer, your words are not only beautiful, they carry a weighted transcendent quality to them that keeps this story so magnificent and real. This story of Chuck and Blair may've tumultuous and long and at times I'd wanted to throw my laptop across the room because of their immensely stubborn refusal to get together, but it was a wonderful story and ride. Thank you for sharing.

I cried. I cried over Blair and Asher's farewell. Chuck didn't get Blair's message through Dorota, huh? Chuck's interview with Asher was hilarious! Poor guy. The port dialogue is fantastic. I love Chuck's 'I'll be your mistress. '

Ivy, you're a gem in maid's clothing. I was hoping that Damien would pull something like that. I didn't expect it to be so soon though.

What? That's it? Jenny gets to go just like that? Are they just separating or are they getting an actual divorce?

Bravo, B! I wanted to slam my head against the wall then reconsidered. She didn't break things off with Chuck, she gave him a choice so this time around, their making love then being separated is different, different from the first two times. Hopefully not the last in each other's arms but hopefully the last time that their coming together needs to be punctuated by a separation. Blair should destroy Jenny thoroughly. BTW, so Ivy wants to be something else she's not, but I hope never in the way that Jenny aspired and connived.

I loved the bathroom scene when Blair says her vows. I applaud Blair for being strong enough to turn Nate down. Two years ago she was not strong enough to accept Chuck, now she's strong enough to turn down a most eligible match. Bravo! I have a question, two years ago, was Chuck able to go as far as actually proposing to Blair? If he did, then he never showed her the ring? As for Jenny, hopefully her dalliance with the Ambassador provides grounds for a divorce. BTW, loved Blair's letter to Asher.

Loved Dan's reading of Blair, by the way. And I was really touched by that echoing line of Chuck waiting for Blair's entrance as if he never meant to at all. That was beautiful. Even in his despair and depression he is still aware of her.

I cried twice in this chapter. The first instance was when Blair threatened Humphrey with all things painful if he ever hurt Serena. The second was this closing scene, when Chuck kisses Blair 'goodbye.'

Oh, Mr. Archibald, Mr. Bass has pretty much admitted his love for the lady you 'like.' Chuck's obvious adoration should have at least checked Nate's ardour. He doesn't realise that there is no 'other' for Chuck as he was suggesting. I love Ivy's loyalty!
Gosh, Jenny, she who would stoop to whatever depths to fight for this one sided affair of hers. Blair's response if great! I love it!

Ugh! Charles Bass! What are you doing? Despite your trying to be good and letting her go, you know that it would kill you if she did marry. I wonder how this would play out.

I enjoyed the repartee at the breakfasat table. The violent footsie was a great plus. I hope Blair doesnt' get too far into her playing with Nate and Nate doesn't actually fall for her. I miss Asher!
