How messed up are those girls in their school? Also paulinas mom. I know some families share stuff with their fams like how their day went. But that’s really none of her business too. Why did she have to drop their names? Thats kind of unprofessional for a teacher

I only just found this story recently and have fairly enjoyed it. I love stories about showing what the future holds for characters.

Also, you I want to see the school’s reaction when they finally find out the truth about Sam. A ‘Mosquito’ could’ve been nearby during the conversation Danny and Tuck had with Cole and just haven’t said anything yet because they realize how much they hurt Sam.

I do hope you continue this. It’s a great read.

Wow, imagine my surprise when I saw the update from this in my email. I remember my early days ans your story was on of the first that I fell in love with. I have spent all day rereading both FWB and FWG.

I am so pleased with the development that has happened for both stories. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions experiencing this story again for a second time. I really love how it's going and can't wait to see how it will continue.

(Also I was wondering if there would be a chapter where Pamela and Jeremy babysit the kids because I'd love Pamela to have a little tea party with the girls. I think it would be very cute and could help with their bonding)

Well I mean every few months, my mind is like "hey I haven't read this amazingly depressing story and it's heartwarming sequel yet" do you know how much longer this will be? I'm also thinking of writing something along the lines of this. Not copying you but like sam gets pregnant.

I never forgot this fic lol. Tbh I reread flowers will bloom and flowers will grow at least 3 times since I first found it even though it wasnt finished. tbh I didnt expect for it to but that never changed that its still one of my favorite series

Ah, CrypticMoonFang! At long last you’ve returned to updating your fanfics. I always do have such high expectations of you and every time they’re met; you’ve come quite a long way. I have as usual my criticism and unnecessarily long reviews with me.

This fic actually evolves as your writing does, yet seems to still fit into the mold of the original “format” (so to speak). I’ve noticed that Whatshisface/Stable Boy and The Boy With the Rings have your own personal writing style but manage to take on different forms, almost like you have variants that set the mood for the fic. This mood is the one I’ve seen evolve with the circumstances of the story. That’s actually a very impressive feat and I don’t usually find that with other authors.

This fic in particular is growing longer and longer and most of the time long ones get boring, but not this one. You pace the time just right and never throw out unnecessary time skips. When you do, you summarize whatever happened in between so readers don’t have to wonder. It opens the gateway to our imaginations while following along with the same storyline instead of veering off track and jarring everyone. This is indeed a huge perk of this story. You’ve managed to keep every character canon considering the circumstances. Although Danny could stand to be a little less protective... It is understandable why he would be so protective though, what with Sam’s past experiences and the guilt he’s suffered for so long.

On the topic of said guilt, you may do well to express it better if he still feels that way. I’ve been wondering about that since we know exactly how Sam feels. I do agree that people should read Flowers Will Bloom first instead of rushing to ask questions that have already been answered. I can imagine how many times you’ve had to deal with that and I can see that this is the reason some scenes and dialogue can be a bit repetitive—everybody asks the same thing multiple times. It’s a great way to stop those questions but it can be easily caught and on occasion, annoying, to eagle eyes. I can’t really blame you for that though...if anything I actually place blame on everyone who won’t bother to read it.

I admit the fights between Danny and Sam, though uncommon, are very realistic. Marital spats happen and while they’re technically not married, it’s as Tucker said—the only thing missing is the ring. I found Tucker to stay in character when he brought that conversation up but I found it a little out of character when Danny actually did propose. At the same time I’m realizing that despite my hatred for Jeremy, he was 100% correct in predicting what would happen. Danny and Sam think it’s right to be married with (another) baby on the way, Sam knows how to be a mother (a good one), and Sam and Danny both are able to provide their children with shelter, safety, food, and a stable environment. It’s like the circle of life just continued... It was amazing how you laid that out, too. It almost seems like this is the continuation split rather than an actual sequel simply due to the fact that without Jeremy’s logic—that we now know—there would’ve been no reason for him to have ever thrown her out to begin with. Now I understand why he did that. I understand why it seemed like he didn’t care anymore. I was pretty mind-blown when all that was explained and Danny’s reaction and feelings towards it were perfect. I also like being able to understand Pamela’s side as well. That foggy area in this story has finally been cleared up and I am so content right now.

I still have questions but I have a feeling they’ll be answered in time. I was planning to review two chapters ago because why would Sam refuse to go to a hospital?! And then that, too, had a logical explanation behind it. I’m actually with Sam on that decision though and I love that Danny provided an alternative. So far that’s really the only alternative I can even think of.

Catching up to speed I feel bad for Pamela because she’s waited so long and she’s so excited only to be left behind again. Granted she is with the twins so I’m sure she’s elated about that but she’s been dying to see her daughter for so many years, especially after she found out what all happened with Sam. You kept her perfectly in character considering she used to hate Danny (and even still doesn’t include him in everything). And with the given circumstances you kept Jeremy in character too, which must’ve been painfully hard to do.

I give this a 10/10. It would’ve been a 9 or 8 but all that gray area finally being explained in the most realistic way? That was amazing, truly, and I am seriously impressed with this.

I held high expectations for this chapter and those expectations were met! For my rating I'd give this amazing a 10/10. Dark Danny Phantom fics have always been cool to me and this one delivered. I'm ready for the next chapter.
