great story. I like to read danny and steve friendship stories. Will there be a nother chapther. Would love to read how the others take care of danny when he's home from the hospital and maybe can't talk for awhale.

If this is a "rusty" writing style, then I can't wait to see what you pull out when you're back in the swing of things! This was a really nice piece of hurt/comfort, and I liked how you worked with the various character voices. I also liked the Danny/Steve interaction at the end (of course Danny asks if Steve's OK). I can see the look on both their faces.
