AerodynamicZ chapter 23 . 4/4/2017 This is good. You should update. Or do not. I will not beg. |
Katrina Marie Lupin chapter 1 . 12/12/2012 Actually, I AM writing this into original fiction. I made the Captain darker (can you believe it?!) and tweaked a few things, but this will be a novel in its own right, soon. I will of course let you guys know as much as I can when that happens, as it's still being written, but reviews really make my day - |
TheSmirkingSnake chapter 20 . 10/31/2012 Ohhh Mannn! Now I have to know what happens next! This story is awesome, it feels like I am reading a novel I got at the bookstore! This story deserves WAY more reviews then it has gotten so far! I beseech all who read this, spread the word of this story's sheer amazingness. Please, Katrina Marie Lupin, continue this story (as soon as physically and mentally possible of course :) And so, The Snake floats away on a tiny terra, with a kindly smirk |
TheSmirkingSnake chapter 16 . 10/30/2012 This is fantastic! This Story is so inspired! I enjoy a good Alternate Universe story, and one about the Storm Hawks makes it even better. I love the fact that your OCs are so realistic, and also that the point of view is entirely from Doyle's perspective. Honestly, if I didn't know who Stork and Piper were, I would have thought this was an original story. I haven't read the story all the way yet, so if it is finished yeah, if not please continue! And so, The Snake flies away on a skimmer, with a kindly smirk |
Novalia1001 chapter 23 . 7/30/2012 Damn, discrimination. Sad chapter (though Doyle seemed to take it well) and peculiar insight into Abigail's character. |
Novalia1001 chapter 22 . 7/1/2012 Where do I begin? First off, thank you for updating though I haven't been about for a while. Second off, thank you for keeping the chapters at a good length with good spaces for the eyes to 'breathe' between paragraphs. Third off, thank you for showing us that despite the Condor is somewhat familial, there are still plenty of secrets, the Captain being the most elusive, feared and gossiped about of them all. Fourth: thank you for mentioning the casual attitude of the 'sailors'. Not to mention the suspense. It's subtle really, but you just tossed me out on three different cliffs in this one chapter. |
Novalia1001 chapter 21 . 4/21/2012 Scary to sweet-what a devilish combination-a little shorter than most chapters but nothing to complain about. I must say that suspense is dripping in your work: when'sthenextchapterwhen'sthenextchaptercomingwhen'sthenextchaptercomingout? |
Another Random Anon chapter 1 . 3/5/2012 I stumbled upon this fandom on accident and came across this fic by scurrying through another author's favorites. In short, I was really lucky to have found this wonderful fic. I know that people say this all the time in reviews, to the point where it almost doesn't mean anything, but it is a shame that this doesn't have more reviews. (I'll try to give this somemore as I slowly re-read it while waiting for an update.) This is one of those fics that one should read through twice in order to pick up on missed forshadowing and/or little details missed in the rush to read all of the delectable goodness available here. (For example, I didn't realize that the person Doyle got the story from was most likely Junko the first time I read this. Which, of course, leads to the question of how Junko is going to handle the whole 'The Condor being a pirate ship with a notorious reputation' deal, especially if he is still as naïve as he is portrayed on the show…) I think that part of this fic's charm is that the reader knows only a little more than Doyle, at least when it comes to the past, but other than that the reader is just as confused and as curious as Doyle. Thus, the reader becomes a sort of one-sided companion to Doyle, searching for clues, hints, foreshadowing, anything that can help put the pieces of all of these secrets into an answer. If the story was purely about the quest to find and bring back together the Hawks, it likely would still be an interesting read, but it wouldn't have the same kind of allure that is here. Speaking of Doyle, he is such a wonderful charecter. Hopefully, his curiosity won't kill him off any time soon. Maybe it is because the story is told from his point of view, but he seems like an Everyman. Yet, at the same time, there is something special about him and he holds a bit of the same mystery that everyone on The Condor seems to have about them. Although, that may just be me thinking too much on backstory. Basically, I enjoy this fic so much that I may end up writting a love letter to it for each review I write. So, please write more. |
1001 Novalias on the wall chapter 20 . 2/24/2012 This is turning into a gothic circus rather than a crude pirate ship. Makes it all the more enjoyable, actually. |
Novalia1001 chapter 19 . 2/24/2012 Actually, this was was kind of funny, particularly towards the end. Seeing Piper in this deadly facade is somewhat unsettling when one realizes that it actually...works for her. I'm impressed by Doyle's courage and ability to notice stuff. In addition, your writing style is channeling my euphoria. |
Novalia1001 chapter 18 . 2/24/2012 Ooh, ghost stories. A very fitting post-battle tri-a-logue, very natural and very like Doyle. Answers a lot of questions that might have emerged in fact, and gives an insight of society aboard the Condor. 's cool, man. :) |
Specimen 12 chapter 19 . 2/2/2012 Hmm, it's beena long while since i read something quite as enchanting as this. Please do continue in the future, you're doing great so far. |
Midnight-Chaos-Flame chapter 17 . 1/11/2012 I've just discovered your story, and I have to say that I'm quite impressed. I like that you include small reminders of what part of the ship some characters are from in the writing itself, because it really helps the reader remember who all of the original characters are, without having to resort to author's notes or annotations. I really like your original characters, which is usually not something I can say, and I'm enjoying your depictions of the canon ones. I feel really bad that this story has so few reviews, because it deserves so many more. I'm looking forward to future chapters, so keep at it! |
Novalia1001 chapter 17 . 1/7/2012 Kindly intriguing. |
Novalia1001 chapter 13 . 1/7/2012 Stork: Victory! Piper: At two in the morning? I liked that-very funny. Nice dynamic chapter for a change. |
