This is so gooddd. But honestly why does, every good fanfic I read, always stop at the good parts? If you plan to continue this story, please do. It's really good and I guarantee that I am gonna love it.

Remus's points are not accurate, though. The Wizarding World did not have a leader, they had a figurehead. As shown in the books, the moment the Death Eaters started any type of public campaign the Fudge government simply ignored it, explained it away or did nothing. So regardless of the public's confidence in Fudge, he had no actual ability to do anything useful.

"In fact, muggles have made it illegal to marry your cousins [...]" Yes, true, perhaps. But then only in the strictest meaning of your chosen vocabulary. "Muggles" is not "the muggles" or even "all muggles".

Because in a lot of countries (like here in Germany) marriage between cousins is legal. I don't know how widespread it is, but from my personal environment I'd say not overly. But even if uncommon, it's legal.

And in MANY countries cousin marriage is favoured, in some societies even mandated. According to a short research in wikipedia more than a billion people live in countries where relative marriage is common. About 20% of the world population prefer a relative marriage, over 10% are married to a second cousin or closer.

However, birth defects are indeed more common among those people. So, even if common, it's not really the best idea. Just look at Sirius. He's a cruel unrepentant bully who forgets the important people as soon as something happens. His parents were first cousins. Mental, social, or emotional instability are just as much of a problem as physical (or magical) defects. The Gaunts had all five problems in the last two known generations.

And about destabilising the ministry: in "Harry Potter And The Summer Of Change" by lorddwar Dumbledore accuses Harry of destabilising the ministry as well. Harry's answer, and the subjective truth as seen by many is that FUDGE destabilised the ministry. No amount of time waiting for the situation to get better would've done anything. The ministry would've never stabilised without external interference. The number of Death Eaters and sympathisers in high positions guarantee that it's not stabilising, because their lord and master doesn't want it to. A stable ministry with working structures, especially in law enforcement, would be harder to conquer and harder for the blood snobs to control.

I agree about Lupin. He's about 33 in Harry's third year. He was bitten as a small boy. Let's assume at eight, it gives a nice round number. Because that means he's been living for a whole quarter of a century according to the moon. The full moon is THE ruling factor in his life. He's ALWAYS aware when full moon is, he needs to be. He can't ever forget it, it's always in the forefront of his mind.

And he sees students around on the grounds and runs off, without taking the potion. The potioneer IS ON HIS WAY ALREADY, and Lupin can't wait those ten minutes to guarantee that he doesn't become the beast. So what if Black possibly kills the students. If he runs off without the potion he WILL definitely kill them when, not if, he loses control. It's inevitable.

He doesn't in the end, because Black's a friendly and drives him off. But he would have if Black had been smaller, and he's actively hunting Harry and Hermione later (at least in the movies, I can't remember if it's in the book as well, it's been a long time since I've read the originals).

Godric's Hollow is somewhere in the West Country, in a moor-y area. Grimmauld Place is somewhere in central London, not too far from King's Cross. A kitten would need WEEKS to get from one place to the other by running. It has short legs, must rest, eat, sleep, and is prey for a couple of animals that must be avoided, like foxes or buzzards.

Sarah Olivier, you have git to be joking Harry Spoiled Brat you really don't understand much. How old are you? Out of everyone, Harry is the clearest-minded person in the wizarding world and sees what is wrong with it. And he is calling them out. Corruption is so rampant because nobody would do anything about it. Harry has suffered so much abuse and neglect it isn't funny. And as a result, he has had to take things up in himself to protect himself. Harry never got the care and love he needed. And nobody would listen to him until he had to finally lose his temper to make them listen and point out everything wrong with the wizarding world and point out everything each person has done wrong. And that the majority of them never use the brains they were given. Yes the mundane world isn't perfect but a lot of the mundane seem to use their brains and reasoning skills and yet there are those who do not. And the fact that so many of the People of the Wizarding World are so inbred that they are surfing all kinds of defects both physical and developmental. Even thou I really hate the word but it seems to fit many of the magic users they retarded. Plus their isolationist culture hasn't helped. They all should be forced to attend public primary schools. So that they learn what they are supposed to. And that is critical thinking skills and to think for themselves and to do their research to get to the truth of things. Whether canon or AU Fanfiction there is so much wrong with the Wizarding World. In fact, I have read plenty of fanfiction where My distant Cousin Queen Elizabeth got involved even though we never met but based on what I have seen threw the news and from what I have learned from those of us of the American Branch of the family that have met with her and what some would the family grapevine Those Authors were pretty accurate and from what I have read from the profiles many are actually British while others are American or members of a commonwealth nation still under the crown. And have done their homework which includes looking at British law and history. So, as a result, there is much that is going on with the Magicals that should wouldn't put up with or tolerate She would literally force change for the welfare and safety for everyone. In fact, much of the Wizards and witches could easily be brought up on treason charges with everything.

this was a great story and I wish you had made it longer. you left so many questions unanswered. will the wizards wake up and start thinking? will the adults of the wizarding world finally do something ? will Dumbledore finally held responsible for his actions?

Holy cow, this moved me so much. I wish you would add more. So how the wizard population may just start to understand what is wrong and just maybe begin to fix it. Would love to see a scene if Deatheaters go to Diagon Ally for an attack, and have everyone pull a wand and take them all down, HARD.
