Brows furrowed upon her, the human pest.

"Curious," the beast lowly purred at her side;

"Why do your kind think that's all we do?
Such funny creatures, you know that too."
Amusement bled out as his tail swished;
A sign that he's somehow sort of pleased.
"Then why attack and kill our kind!?" I shout;
Too lost to care for the displeasing bout.
The beast sighed and stood to face the sun;
Horns glinting, a demon, he looks like a man.
He's like our kind, the lowly and the weak;
She noticed too, their words he could speak.
"You attacked us first and killed our youngs.
Why not retaliate and do the same wrongs?"
She was stunned, the horrid act was done;
This rotting old war was started by a man.
"I'm sorry," she lowered her head to say.
She knows their life is what they will pay.
"I'm sorry," she repeats with her crying words;
Could her sacrifice mend the broken cord?
She was left all alone, apology unanswered;
The war didn't stop, for them it didn't matter.
Anger of the dead fueled the demon kin;
Unending retribution for a human's sin.

I'm always re-reading this story. it's just so beautiful. I love how you've managed to put the characters in an au and twist darkness into Rin and Yukio and yet they never ever seem to be ooc. This is how you make an au

This was such a fun read! Thanks for putting forth the effort. Creativity isn't something that gets to be a priority in the day to day typically so I really appreciate you spreading some joy around through your stories.

Wow...I don’t even know if I’d want Rin and Shiemi be dead or not. I don’t know if there’s a redemption for him in the end, because all of his doings were evil...This is really a bittersweet ending. Thank you for the story, it was amazing in it’s own way!

I would honestly read a one-shot about how Shura ended up this way. hmm must have been some real nasty and naughty things she did with Yukio

There is a certain aura of melancholy around the words that you write but at the same time, you can feel the pain and the raw atmosphere of a war-torn world with war-torn people. ok, ok. tbh. I see no problems. grimmer is near perfect (everyone makes a minimum of one mistake), the hook is not bad, but the introduction of run felt a bit rushed/not fleshed out as it should but it's fine. All in all, can't wait to read the rest

This is quite some time after you posted this story so i dont know if you'll ever read this, but i just wanted you to know that this is one of the most enchanting and bittersweet stories i have ever read. I live for this kind of tale, thank you for writing this. I love it!

oh, man.. would have loved the sun set setting mor, if set in the backdrop of them kissing or something :) Poor Bon and Shima.. So, Izumo was just set aside that quick? I am not so sure the real Shiemi from AO would do that... :) Good twist though.

Shura about to rampage against the Okumura brothers... I hope SHiemi at least saves Bon and SHima.. SHe still has that promise to keep to Shima.
