I liked your story very much, and I think it's one of the best Spike/Faye out there, seriously. Since I liked it so much, I'm going to give a thorough review and talk about the good and the bad (because no story is perfect).

We all know Faye had a crush at the end of the series, it's Spike the one so hard figuring out by the audience. They had awesome chemistry since the beginning –let's not forget he plays Blackjack when they meet just to flirt with her– and I think he had a soft spot for her at the end, the same for Jet and Ed. He acknowledged that chemistry but did nothing about it because he was still hung up over Julia, there was no more room in his heart for anyone else, not even himself. He was just making time before he had to die, because no one escapes the Syndicate. That makes you wonder what would have happened if they met without any Julia between them, would he have acted on his attraction?

I think so, because Spike is very playful and brash. He is a devious flirt and it shows in the series, so imagine if he had been free to pursue Faye. Besides that constant give-and-take flirting, he is very loyal and gives his all to those he love, so Faye and Spike could have been great. I think your fic captures that type of relationship, that playing around and constant bickering that masks their attraction, and the sparks that fly when two stubborn persons get together. I always imagined they would keep doing it after getting together, and that's what you wrote.

However, I felt that Spike made a huge change between chapter 8 and 9 and that I didn't like. That somersault in his feelings was too OOC, going from complete denial to asking her on a date constantly. A bit of a transition would have been better. That aside, the fic was amazing. And I think that Jet's reaction was on point.

*inclines head to one side* Hmm... nice, amusing little fic. Kind of a rocky start, and the plot was a bit... disjointed, but oh well. Still cute. Especially glad that it's a completed one. *grins* Don't have to wait around for months to get an update. Got to read it all in one sitting. Although, one thing... As for the jumbling of the plot, lemme explain. At the beginning, when Faye's little run-in with Mr. Badass Bounty occurs, you give the impression that she wants to go after them for revenge and whatnot. Then as the fic continues, it's as if she completely omits that incident from memory. It threw me a bit, but oh well. Just kind of had to puzzle over the loose end.

Hey, this was an awesome story. Totally great fight scenes and romance scenes. Really good description. The ending was hilarious, really wasn't expecting Jet's reaction to be like that. Great job over all!

i don't know if its the story itself, or the fact that its 5am...but i really really liked this one!
