Guest chapter 1 . 6/30/2018 I finished reading this story today and wow. Amazing. It feels like this actually happened and I just love it :) |
Jazzcat chapter 5 . 12/17/2011 Holy cats! *laughs* The Snuggly Duckling gang captured Duke Herrington - for following Rapunzel! I wondered what the duke was doing in their company - and so frightened by his companions, too! What a chapter. Poor Connelly, having to eat cabbage soup. Blech. The bad guys obviously didn't stop to ask Tansy and Lila for their advice on impersonating Eugene properly. (Which is good for us!) What a fun scene. I love it that Rapunzel quit talking to Griet for a whole day after the torture comment... *laughs* And it was brilliant of Griet to suggest the switch in stations. Having grown up at court and being used to ordering people around and getting her way, Griet was PERFECT for the role. And Rapunzel is actually perfect to play the shy, diminutive lady's maid. The scene with Griet getting the Snuggly Duckling gang across the border was priceless! Loved this chapter... and I can't wait to find out what happens next. Unfortunately, I have been extremely busy. With Christmas right around the corner, that isn't likely to change anytime soon. But I will read - and review - as I can. I enjoy every sentence! Blessings! Jazzcat |
nikkibecket1997 chapter 1 . 12/9/2011 when he fell through the floor, i pictured him shouting "OW! WHY THE HELL DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME!" because honestly, the shit always happens to him. |
BookishDream3r chapter 2 . 11/26/2011 I LOVE the start to this story! The way you switch back and forth between their tales is wonderful! ... and OMG your headcast is FANTASTIC :) I 3 Arthur Darvill |
Deandra chapter 10 . 10/28/2011 Finally managed to sit down and read this. I felt this was very true the original storyline and the characters were spot on. As always, I especially loved Pascal and Max. You did a good job making them "speak" on the written page when so much of what they did in the movie was through visual expression. The banter between characters was nicely done, and very reminiscent of the movie dialogue, and the plot line was well thought out, without a simple fix. Overall, nice job! - Deandra |
Jane McAvoy chapter 10 . 10/14/2011 You've crafted a great story and I liked how it all came together in the end, esp. with Griet's identity being revealed. Thanks for writing! |
BroadwayFanGirl91 chapter 10 . 10/14/2011 Wow! You finished this quick! Very good job, I enjoyed it so much! Thanks for writing it. :) ~BFG91 |

BroadwayFanGirl91 chapter 6 . 10/12/2011 Cool poem for a great chapter. Yay Eugene and Rapunzel are back together again. :) Update again soon! XD |
BroadwayFanGirl91 chapter 5 . 10/10/2011 Ooooh... does Greit like Hook? Hee hee hee... Please update again soon! XD |
Jane McAvoy chapter 5 . 10/10/2011 Tansy sounds too cute! Maybe Connelly deserves a love interest? ) It's nice to see Eugene has friends who care for him. Also glad Rapunzel called out Griet for her indifference towards Eugene's safety. It's about time Rapunzel defended the man she loves. I also like the inclusion of the thugs in this story. I chuckled when Hook Hand and the thugs tried to pass off as a bunch of musicians when questioned by the guard. |
Jazzcat chapter 4 . 10/6/2011 *laughs!* Tansy's a girl! Fancy that! A wild little tigress too, it seems. And she broke Flynn Ryder out. VERY impressive. I look forward to seeing what this feisty little pot-wielder is made of! Ooh, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the Snuggly Duckling! Good thing Rapunzel has friends in high... uh, low... well, very rough and smelly places. I have a feeling she's going to need them! That was no small pack of mercenaries that cared Eugene off. Ah, so, I was right about Lady Raven-hair. What a delightfully intriguing plot! And Pascal is so brave. I love how he sneaked himself into Lady Raven-hair's bag and snooped around until he found that letter, brought it back to Eugene, picked up more publications and brought them to Eugene, and finally played a huge role in breaking them out of that awful cell. Good job, frog! One more side note: The bantering conversations in this story are WAY too much fun. :) Blessings! Jazzcat |
Jazzcat chapter 3 . 10/6/2011 Goodness, I love how delightfully innocent and naive Rapunzel is! You're right - she only knows two men very well. That Duke Herrington is trouble, and yet she still turned the tables on him! A little message for Rapunzel: You go, girl! So, let me see. My guess is that Gothel was a witch in the Order of Sol, and that raven-haired woman in the silver gown (nice costuming, by the way!) is probably also in the Order of Sol. Which means that she wants Rapunzel for whatever sun-power is still lingering in the poor girl. Eugene is just the bait. Great time for Connelly to come down with a fever, poor fellow. I remember Connelly from the movie very well (though I can't help you with his name... sorry! But Connelly sounds good), and he is a brave and loyal guard - very deserving of a place in the story. :) Max is hilarious - also straight out of the movie. I love his changed behavior since he took up with Sylvia. At least Rapunzel isn't going alone. It was very funny that she had to lock up Hannah! But that was clever on Rapunzel's part and, I think, the best solution. Even Hannah would be grateful for her brief imprisonment once it's all over, since it will save her job. I love how sharp Rapunzel is and how well she plans things. That silver-gowned lady is getting into more than she bargained for, messing with Rapunzel's fiance! Blessings! Jazzcat |
Jazzcat chapter 2 . 10/6/2011 *giggles* Oh, I'm loving this story, Sache! Not necessarily in order of importance, I've got to start with Pascal. I love that chameleon, and you captured him so perfectly - glaring six feet up at Eugene from the floor, indeed! And then placing himself in the middle of the introductions, without giving Eugene any options, by planting himself stubbornly on the crown of his head. I LOVE IT. That's classic movie-Pascal! The baker, Braddock, was a very nice touch. And so was his daughter, Lila. The fact that Eugene tried to make himself scarce before she showed up was hilarious, and then when Lila entered - "glowering with all her might at Eugene" - I totally cracked up! I definitely feel sorry for Lila. She's a strong girl, and very witty, and you can see why Eugene would have been attracted to her. It's hard... when you know that there is someone out there who IS capable of changing a guy like Eugene, and knowing that you weren't it. Beautiful work on your part, creating and portraying such a conflict. Just explain to Lila that with the next guy, all you have to do is NOT fall for the smolder, and whack him with a frying pan, and blackmail him into helping you. That's the magic recipe. :) Then, it was perfect to leave Eugene so distracted over the conversation that he failed to notice the obvious signs that he was walking into a trap... until he walked into the trap. Fantastic! Looking forward to more! Blessings, Jazzcat |
BroadwayFanGirl91 chapter 4 . 10/6/2011 Great chapter like always! I can't wait to see what happens next! Update soon! XD |
