Over all it's a good story. The one thing I would have written differently is I would have had JJ and Spence remained in the room for another week to ten days. In that time both of them would have grown even closer and decided to tell Will right away. I don't think either character would want to live a lie or be apart from the one they love. But that is just my opinion.

Yes, views on corporal punishment vary considerably within subcultures; the South as a whole accepts spankings & even beatings as a normal way to raise a child. If it’s just a quick swat on the butt, it’s a harmless way to teach children under six that actions have consequences.

Having her own mind and being too smart are things the average parent would desire for a child, but in Will’s mind, at leas, bad for a girl.

When people make their own assumptions, you don’t need to lie.

This is more plausible than all the stories that have Reid a shy, awkward virgin.

Most well written CM fic I've read so far. So much angst (and not gonna lie, still mad at Will just freely being part of the fam after being such an asshole esp to Sophia) but you are very good at hitting readers in the Feels.
