lieutenant-oliviabenson chapter 7 . 7/26 I've never been so stressed in my life as Olivia is making me in this fic, SO STUBBORN! girl please admit your undying love for him already! |
lieutenant-oliviabenson chapter 4 . 7/23 I think this was the most intense chapter I’ve ever read. I was literally jumping up in the bed anxious about what would happen next! I KNEW IT WAS SUICIDE it was my first guess! But I was sad about it, however i’m not sad at all Porter is dead lmaoooo Loved it. Also, my homegirl Olivia is so stubborn i wanna shake her and scream “WOMAN STOP FOR THE LOVE OF GOD”. Anyways, she should have know that when a man follows her to another state then saves her from a burning car and kisses her before passing out, she shouldn’t call his ex wife Anyhow more importantly is that you know you’re the smut queen and this was hot af as always but she walked away? Poor Elliot guy cant catch a break with her skkksks |
lieutenant-oliviabenson chapter 3 . 7/22 HOLD OWN HE DID WHAT NOW? I THOUGHT IT WAS WEIRD that he hadn’t reacted badly about the change and hadn’t followed her to dc but not this Also poor agent silverman, I feel bad for saying I hated him last chapter sksksk |
lieutenant-oliviabenson chapter 2 . 7/22 I started reading this chapter, had to stop midway, then, the next day I was like "ugh I need to go back to SVU from where I stopped, that episode Olivia was being held by the FBI". it actually took me quite a while to realize it was a fic and not an actual episode. This is how fantastic this is! Also, I hate Silverman to death and I CRIED WITH OLIVIA PROTECTING ELLIOT MORE THAN HERSELF aaaaaaa |
Guest chapter 9 . 7/20 WOW |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 9 . 7/19 Elliot is the one with the intense emotions at the beginning of this chapter, although he and Olivia have always done a fine job of pressing one another's buttons. This time though, it appears he's had the day/evening from hell, and the last thing he wants is one more complicated issue to deal with. What he doesn't realize is that Olivia is there not to fight, but to make amends. I felt the slight wave of pain when he was forceful with her and told her to just go home. I was glad he apologized right after and kept her from leaving. I don't know that they ever could have recovered if she had gone home without talking to him. Still, it wasn't easy for him having Olivia in his personal space. I'm amused that Elliot can't seem to mange to even shower in peace these days without his mind being invaded with thoughts of Olivia. Then, when she found that post it note he had saved from all those years ago, that really spoke of how much their history means. I'm glad she took the first step tonight, because I don't think Elliot would have. I had to laugh when they fell off the bed, and that didn't deter them one bit. I also liked Olivia's insight that their need for one another wasn't something that was necessarily possible to be calm or gentle. Much like their first encounter in the alley, things between them would always be super intense. Looking forward to reading the conclusion of this when you are able to post it! |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 8 . 7/19 As I was reading this chapter going over Liv's night at the precinct where she wasn't speaking to Elliot, I could sense the tension in the room. Then she went to put the files away, and the lights went out. I was holding my breath as I waited to see what was going to happen next, even though I knew Elliot was the cause. Still, I couldn't blame Olivia for having all her senses on high alert. Then they just kept pushing the envelop further and further, even though they each knew Bennett could come back at any minute. When Olivia woke up the next morning, I didn't know whether to be upset or relieved. This makes the second intense dream you've added to this, though Olivia's was far more detailed than Elliot's ever was in the earlier chapter. I'm glad Fin talked to his friend, and I hope Liv takes his advice to heart. It seems that she has, because she's sought Elliot out, and I hope they will actually talk this time. One more chapter to go before I'm all caught up, I had to take a brief break in reading, but I've mostly read all of this story in one day. |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 7 . 7/19 I imagined things would have been more awkward between them in the morning, but they really weren't. Granted, Elliot woke up at a disadvantage, but was spared when he realized Olivia was already out of bed and dressed. I thought the scene of them brushing their teeth together was sweet. Still, it seems she doesn't know how to act in front of him after the night before and the way things are changing between them. I don't blame Liv for being upset about more mandatory time with Huang, even though I feel its necessary. The last thing she wants right now is to feel pressured to talk about what she is feeling - likely because she doesn't even know what she is feeling. The psychiatrist keeps trying to draw the truth out of her, but until Olivia is willing to admit what is really bothering her, there isn't much he can do. I worried for Liv when she went to the bar in the middle of the day, even though she seemed to know her limits. Her mind is so scattered right now, she seems completely overwhelmed with everything she's been through recently. Then, when she came back from the Chinese restaurant to find Elliot on her doorstep, I knew it wasn't going to be an easy conversation for them. When she learned all the underlying reasons about his divorce, I know that must have been devastating for her. She's only going to blame herself now. They needed to talk, but I fear this may have only poured more salt in the wound. When she pressed the fortune from her cookie before walking up the steps and going inside without barely another word - that killed me. Especially when I learned what the words on that paper were. Two more chapters to go before I'm caught up. |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 6 . 7/19 I was so excited for them, when I thought that they were finally going to get to go out on a date. I had to smile when Fin had his suspicions, and even the way Bennett was making his comments over Olivia's choice of dress. The comparison of him as an mix between Cassidy and Stuckey makes me cringe, but its not too far off the mark. Then their date had to be broken on account of work, but of course that takes priority. When the cases kept piling up, and Liv and Bennett were unable to save Emily, I was so upset. I was glad when Elliot wen to Olivia's apartment to check on her, she is definitely starting to spiral under the pressure, and needed someone. It was good to see him taking care of her, even if she wasn't very receptive to it at first. I also understand his concern about the drinking. I don't think its a problem just yet, but it could easily become one should it continue to be a habit. When she asked him to stay, and to touch her, I know she was looking for the comfort of a connection. She may not have agreed with Elliot's terms, and even gotten angry with him, but he was only trying to put her needs first. The misunderstanding that followed after cracked me up a little, even though I hated seeing Liv get so upset again. It's good that he's staying the night. |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 5 . 7/19 Oh, my heart. The way you described them both dealing with the aftermath of their actions alone was just something else. They are each masters of self-punishment. Talking to one another about stuff that matters? That needs some work. As if they both didn't have enough on their minds, they had to make the adjustments at work with the new partners. At least in Elliot's case, Fin is someone who he is already somewhat familiar with. Olivia has to start over with someone completely new. I already find Owen a bit annoying, and think he asks a bit too many personal questions (even if that kind of is in the job description for a detective, lol). I did love when they finally did try and talk toward the end of the chapter, even if they weren't that successful at first. Elliot tripped over his words, and Olivia wasn't really in the mood to hear what he wanted to say. But when they hugged and there was that tug of war between stay/go, I was so totally torn. I hope they are on the right track toward understanding one another better. |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 4 . 7/19 my heart ached at the thought of Olivia laying on her bed like that, just staring up at the ceiling. Then for Porter to show up unannounced the way that he did, and start ordering her around - I'm reminded why I never liked the guy. Sad to hear that Silverman is dead, but seemed that Porter was jumping to an awful lot of conclusions as to why Olivia would be held responsible. He essentially kidnapped her to take her away from the hotel. Then, to find out that Elliot followed her to DC, the suspense heightens! I think that scene with Olivia and Dean in the car was super intense, and then when they crashed, I was holding my breath. I'm glad Olivia and Elliot escaped relatively unharmed. I feel for Olivia though, she's the one who is always putting her life on the line, but its always people around her who get hurt, that seems to leave her with a lot of guilt to deal with. Then there is Elliot, who is watching her travel down this destructive path. Their face off in the bar spoke a lot of home truths. What I definitely wasn't expecting was what happened out in the alley. I guess they finally couldn't resist the pull between them any longer, but I don't imagine this is a scenario that is going to have good consequences. Especially considering the way Olivia walked off immediately after. |
Laryssapascal chapter 1 . 7/19 SO GOOD. Just found this story and I love it. Got an email saying chapter 10 was updated... but like a lot of the readers, I cannot see it. Hopefully, you can fix the glitch in the system. I love you’re writing! |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 3 . 7/19 I'm sure Olivia was relieved to leave FBI custody, even though she left with so many questions unanswered. It's an interesting coincidence she ran into Dean at the precise moment that she did. I'm sure she had to swallow her pride to accept his offer to stay at his apartment for the night, but her options were limited with no resources. Then, as if she hasn't already been through enough, when she gets back to New York, Cragen forces her into a mandatory leave and tells her they are all off the case. Rubbing further salt in the wound, there is the switching of partners. It's like people just keep ripping the rug out from under her feet. Even though its a risky move, I can't say I blame her for going rogue and heading back to DC on her own. Her conversation with Silverman was enlightening, to say the least. Finally, there was her phone call with Elliot, and when he told her he was the one who requested the partner change, I don't know how she's going to come back from that. |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 2 . 7/19 Now that the FBI has been brought into this, the story is starting to come back to me. Olivia may have escaped one fate, only to be stuck in another. Without her ID, there is no way for those men to believe her. Still, she tells a convincing story, and even has a man who would be able to vouch for her credibility, but they just aren't willing to listen. (Although if memory serves me, there is a reason for that later on). I do think they treat her rather harshly, even after they confirm who she really is. Yes, they need information from her, but they should be willing to cooperate with her, and understand that she would need to inform her commanding officer that she is alive and well. Granted, Olivia is also being equally stubborn, but I can't say I blame her. The FBI agents are quite arrogant and irritating. I'm glad she was able to get a call through to Cragen, although given the way she was interrupted, I fear that will cause more alarm than reassurance. Then there was the continued investigation going on with the squad, when they found the DVD footage of what happened in the club in the room Elliot and Olivia had been in. That must have been awkward for all of them to watch. I felt bad for Elliot at that moment, because they didn't intentionally set out to cross the line at that moment - even if they almost did. Things may have gotten carried away between the two, but that was between them. I was more concerned with Cragen's response thinking that Elliot would actually hit Olivia - it didn't matter that she had asked him to. Heading to the next chapter to continue refreshing my mind of this amazing story. |
justanotherbookworm78 chapter 1 . 7/19 I don't know how I missed this when it was first posted, because even back when I wasn't reviewing, I was always reading your stories. Even though this registered as a false update, I'm actually glad for it, because it gives me a chance to discover it all over again! I love the premise that you've set up here - with Olivia undercover and Elliot the one going in to get her out when it gets too dangerous. They certainly manage to get themselves into some complicated situations, and Liv definitely wasn't trying to cooperate when he first got there. I understand Elliot's struggle when she told him to hit her, but she is only trying to protect him in the long run. I'm thinking she knows more than what she is saying about what is going on. The scene where she asks him to strangle her with the cord from the lamp is especially intense - particularly the aftermath when Elliot doesn't know what happened to Liv. Then those men rush in and he never gets to find out if he was too forceful with her. I wonder what will happen when he regains consciousness. |
