Excellent story - I love the whole symmetry of it, word, brother and PoV, concern in one and guilt in the other.

With his reliance on alcohol it's possibly only a matter of time till he moves onto something stronger. This made me think of in 6.14 Mannequin 3 how quick he was to push some "effective" pills on Sam.

But it wouldn't be SPN without some angst and so I loved that last line too!

If the show wasn't on the CW, maybe they would have had Dean doing drugs as well as booze, it feels perfectly feasible, doesn't it?

Nice double viewpoints and double use of different sayings for each WOW - it gives it a kind of symmetry. Sam's concern and Dean's guilty desperation come across really well.
