I loved this. You presented both sides of a complex relationship with an even hand. Meredith made mistakes. Derek made mistakes. They both need to own up and move on.

Aww Missy! Loved it, it gave me a much needed breaking away from studying lengths and gauges of needles! I only wish we could see some kind of development on the show. It's so sad to say I've already lost hope and we're only going into the 2nd eppy.

You did a really good job emphasizing some key factors in all of this:mentioning the first baby they lost,being scared, being in control; heartbreaking she was thinking Zola was missing her teething ring, how she's become her mother in a few days time.

This is so beautiful- and so heartbreaking at the same time. I really wish that Derek would understand what Meredith has gone through. It sure doesn't seem like he understands on the real show.

Well done...I wish things would go like this on the show, but I fear that it won't. So I just enjoy the fanfic version of things...it's much better!

When Janet took Zola away from Meredith I cried too but I wanted to slap the hell out of Derek for leaving Mer. They both made mistakes but they need to get over it and get their baby back.I am hoping that Shonda sticks to her promise and that Mer/Der will get her back you write a follow up with Zola's adoption finalized.

Little Zola was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was caught in the middle.

An aside ... I really dislike what the writers have done to Derek and Meredith as well. Richard stepping into the mess like he did was just wrong there had to have been another way to deal with these troubles. I'm worried about Derek and Meredith's blow-out in 8.3 ... I'll no doubt end up in tears.

How I wish Meredith and Derek would have a conversation like this on the show. A Conversation that actually lasts longer than 30 seconds. They need it and we need it. I have a horrible feeling that the whole not speaking is going to last a while.
