I love the premise behind this fic! And I enjoy this desperate, ends-justify-the-means Peter much more than the usual sniveling coward. This chapter could definitely stand alone as a one-shot, leaving the reader to fill in the blanks regarding the familiar time line, but it looks like you're planning to update it, in which case I look forward to reading more! On a constructive criticism note, it looks like you used the word "future" a couple of times when I think you meant "past" ("the childrens' safety was of secondary concern to spelling Peter to the FUTURE"; "If someone who knew a new method of time travel ever used it to go back to the FUTURE"). If it's not just a typo, then I'm confused about the meaning/context.

damn. just damn. this story is really nice and portrays peter in such a good light and now i'm starting to feel guilty about hating him coz he gave up so much to defeat voldemort. it explains a lot. and peter is really gryffindor-ish here. it's a really good, new perspective
