Plagiarizing other works of FF might be the worst way to deal with writer's block. Ironically it seems absolutely nobody can imagine an original meeting between Shepard and his mother. Why is it that every self-inserted Gary Sue not only allows his mother to physically assault him, but also endures the verbal lashing without interruption? If anyone sucker punches me (mom, sibling, or spouse) they're getting an open hand pimp slap across the face that will leave a mark, and so I'm perplexed why not one version of Shepard ever hits her back. One failure to act is all it took for your Shepard to become just another candy-ass pansy.

Please Update, this is a really awesome fic! Keep up the great work.

The only problem i have with this story is shepard. He is simply to renegade, hes giving hoch from uplift a run for his money but doesnt even have the excuse of being in the SS or revenge.

Good story. Not a big fan of dark shepard though. I think it would have been more fitting to let the batarian live, to see that childs body in his dreams and nightmares, to mourn all of his friends who died next to him. Hed suffer all right, but hed live to suffer longer. Sounds darker actually, i guess its all in how you word it. Anyway, nice story and all. Hope you continue it.
