| Digi12 chapter 1 . 9/22/2011 Odd dialogue, rushed writing in general. Not terrible, the characters are in character, but it's nothing really impressive. Everything seems rather predictable. Your transitions could use work. I know it's hard with being such a derp, but just that sentence "A couple of days later, it was time for the G8 meeting", is jarring. It doesn't announce that we're entering a new scene, it just throws us into it. This is something that tends to be used more in dialogue, a verbal explanation, than narrative. It would've been smoother to attempt a transitional signal. It's hard to explain this, but look in the right places and it'll make sense. The ending is fine, works actually. Very cute. But again, be careful with your writing style. It's very simple which means while the story itself is definitely the focus, it doesn't give us a lot of substance. |
